Hi guys, can you have a look through this for me?

Antec Nine Hundred - £60
Zalman ZM600-HP Heatpipe Cooled 600W Modular PSU - £70
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 - £50
Pioneer DVR-112DBK x 2 - £34
Gigabyte GA_P35_DS4 (Socket 775) - £95
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.66GHz (1333FSB) - £110
Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA-II 16MB x 2 - £128
Zalman CNPS9700-NT nVidia Tritium CPU Cooler - £44

Already got a GFX card (see Sig)

Any one see any probs with that or have any suggestions to make it better for about the same price?

Planning on OC'ing up to about 3.5ghz hopefully

Anyone got any better cooling solutions.

I also have to think about the heatpipes on the motherboard.

anyone using this board and a decent HSF?

You'll need a high FSB with that motherboard to get the chip to 3.5GHz - try with a e2160, e4300 or Q6600 instead (they all have 9x multipliers).

Wanted to go for 4MB L2 Cache and don't really want to go for the Quad due to price.

What do you thing would be a sensible overclock with a 4MB L2 chache, or doesn't it make that much difference?

It seems to produce heat, and help with SuperPi times, but not much else. Have a look at e2160 Vs e6600 in my sig for a comparison I did. :)

I just think the the new e6x50 chips are a bit of a rip-off. You just get them effectively pre overclocked, with lower multipliers, than the equivalent e6x00 chips.

I got mine to 3 without really trying. Maddness then pushed it to 3.3. I've seen some at 3.6GHz, so it is possible certainly.

I would be thinking maybe save for quad given your current rig is so powerful.

Hmm,

Well is only an extra £40 so think I'll just get that.

What's the best cooler out there that will fit the DS4 (Heatpipes :S) and go on the Q6600?

Cheers

Well, you did say the best ;)

I think a Tuniq tower fits as well.
