That will pair up with a 3080 nicely, just one thought though, is 6 cores enough over next few years? I noticed Cyberpunk using all 10 cores on my rig, not seen that before, but assume fps isn't affected with 6 or 8 cores and no way would a 5600x bottleneck a 3080?

Thanks for the replys, i was torn between the 5600 and the 3700x as the pc will be used for stacking photos as well as gaming.

But i thought i would go for the 5600 and then if i needed to upgrade later down the line i could just get a new chip

Maybe getting the 3700x for now will be plenty, then get a new gen in a couple of years.
