As title. I'm looking for an 8GB kit for my soon-to-arrive 2011 low end 13.3" MBP. I'll also be adding an SSD once I've had long enough to get used to the machine to appreciate the difference. :p

OcUK have no 4GB DDR3 SODIMMs in stock, but a competitor local to me who I trust does. Are these compatible with the MBP?:

Corsair Memory 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMM PC3-10600 (1333) Dual Channel Laptop

CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9 - 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 SO-DIMM PC3-10600 (1333), 204 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, 1.50V
I'm pretty sure that's the right type and speed, at least, but I remember reading Macs can be 'fussy' despite on-paper specs being correct. I know Apple usually use Hyinx RAM but that's still showing as pre-order. So, would the above run OK in my MBP?

Please advise. Thanks. :)

EDIT: BTW they're retailing at £71.50 for the above kit. That's good, right?

This is the specs for the ones I ordered - they work just fine in my 17".

Slight OT - can I check that this RAM therefore won't work?

Module Size: 8GB Kit (4GBx2)
Package: 204-pin SODIMM
Feature: DDR3 PC3-8500
Specs: DDR3 PC3-8500 • CL=7 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1066 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64 •

Its the ram I'm using in my older MBP....but it doesn't appear to be fast enough?

For what it's worth I put the RAM out of my 'old' 2010 i7 MBP in my new 2011 MBP until my new upgrade arrived - it worked fine.

Benchmarked a little slower, but it did actually work.

They look fine, I too have heard of Macs being quite fussy with RAM but it's worth a shot. I've just ordered the Kingston 8GB kit for £61 (part number KTA-MB1066K2/8G) - this is listed as being designed for the MacBook Pro so it should work okay :) I'll be installing it tonight along with a Western Digital Scorpio Black HDD!
