Is using a HD card and Moniter good for gaming

Hi all
I recently bought a HD6970 and decided to buy a HDMI lead with it to try some gaming in HD is there any setbacks using HD in online gaming like framerates and delays or would you say it is a good thing using a HDMI lead ?

HDMI and DVI are basically the same thing, although DVI can't carry sound. So yes it should be good if thats what you mean?

So using HD does't enhance the picture more than VGA and DVI ?

DVI and HDMI are exactly the same as one another, image-quality-wise. The principal differences are that HDMI carries audio as well as video
