Is violence against women now the new norm for the Tory party?

You're very anti police az so your comments don't surprise me. Thing is communities were stronger and better when everyone knew each other and looked out for each other and shock horror had a Bobby on the beat. The days when you could leave your door open because you knew your neighbors would have your back and the local copper knew all the scrotes are sadly gone.

An insular community is not a strong community.
Wrong az ;). I'm actually up for more police presence, with guns

Look at the terrorists! Oh my, Mark Field must really have been crapping his pants whilst his colleagues took videos and chatted.

We could trust Boris Johnson to make a mess of it. Does that count as him being trustworthy? :)

Requiring the PM to be trustworthy would be an interesting change. I think it would remove any politician who wanted the job.

Maybe we do agree on something....mirrors or portals or the like.

Extreme violence against policians is fortunately rather a rare in the UK (its worth remembering that Jo Cox's murder was back in 2015)

Five years before we very nearly had a male Mp killed by an apparently polite probably rather non threatening looking woman....

A 21-year-old student has been jailed for life at the Old Bailey for trying to murder Labour MP

"You do not suffer from any mental disease. You have simply committed evil acts coolly and deliberately."

During the trial Mr Timms said: "She looked friendly. She was smiling."

If you ever do any police/personal security training you will often be told there is only two threat levels.... High threat and unknown threat.

There has also been some rather inflammatory hysterical rhetoric and demands coming for fringe socialists/ enviromentalists of late...

'We only have 12 years left to save the world'

(Alexandria Occasio-Cotez)

And Boris being asked whether he would commit to makibmbg the UK CO2 neutral in six years (politically impossible in a democracy)

So it's not beyond the bounds of belief that a sole protester or one hiding in crowd/ activist group might be radicalised to murder or extreme violence in the name of their cause.

We have certainly seen individuals in other areas radicalised to quite violent means

A husband and wife have been sentenced for their part in a terror campaign against an animal testing company.

Sven Van Hasselt, 31, helped to fire bomb vehicles belonging to workers linked to Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), Winchester Crown Court heard.

And it doesn't have to be such extreme violence such as stabbing a high profile target.

A protestor well may want to make a scene by dousing a high profile target in paint/ blood/ acid (thanks Jo Brand).

So I don't find it particularly excessive to physically stop, restrain and escort an intruder out of a private dinner when they are seemingly on a mission to get to someone whilst other protestors are occupying security elsewhere.

I hope Mr Field is sensibly re instated.

As for Boris.... What a load of politcally motivated cobblers!

You don't record an incident, make careful note of attending vehicles and get straight on the blower to the Graun if your primary concern is the safety of parties in a domestic rather than to instigate a crude political hatchet job.

In this instance, most people seem to have had the foresight to know nothing bad was going to happen . . . in fact all except Mark Field.

Again easy to say with hindsight - also most of the other women were acting in a different manner to the one approaching Mark Field which makes a difference.

Should HAVE for God's sake - HAVE!

As it happens, I believe that the row may have resulted from Bonker Boris' throwing his drink over her sofa; it probably escalated when his unfortunate girlfriend objected and called him selfish and unconcerned about money (ideal qualities for a potential Tory Prime Minister ), following which he did something that resulted in her telling him to "Get off me, get out of my flat".

Why do you hate Boris to this degree? It can't be healthy. I understand he has different Political views and you don't like the fact he was born into a good family, but this level of jealousy and hatred just isn't good.

Just going to ignore his time as foreign sec then? Where he basically signed a British woman's sentence in Iran because he couldn't do his ******* job? Or what about not doing anything substantial while Mayor of London leaving it pretty much up to everyone around him to do it?

He should ******* be hated, this is not someone to look up to.

Why are you so in love with the idea of the arrogant, selfish, spendthrift Bonker Boris? Is it envy or a foolish belief that as Prime Minister he would make any effort. in any way at all, to improve the life of the average Brit?

I realise that Leeds is something of a hell hole but do you seriously believe that he is going to make it any better?

ps - do some research on him and his "achievements" and "promises" ;)
