The thread reads quite different when you mute the couple of extremists baying for violence. Another sign how skewed our complicit politicians are Vs the general public
I genuinely can't tell if you mean people supporting Hamas or Israel here. Which is quite telling.

Mad how the overwhelming majority of Muslims in the west don’t celebrate the murder, rape and torture of women then…

Or do you live such a comically sheltered life that you’ve managed to convince yourself that they do ?

Ah, that makes it ok then, because most didn't celebrate publicly. Who knows how many supported this, there are almost 2 billion Muslims globally and Islam can be interpreted in different ways, some of which are quite extreme.

C4 news last night on concert events, did imply that the concert had had some armed security staff - first I'd heard of that (nonetheless civilians should have been obvious)

Closer to home for you @Twinz - It would be like the USA expanding into Mexico or Canada and just spreading out, displacing the Mexican population knowing there is nothing they can really do about it (NATO implications aside for Canada example)
yes he needs to watch c4 documentary on orthodox Israeli youths marauding through west bank palestinian villages, property destruction .. ethnic cleansing.

Might and strength always win
assume that was ironic - juries only out on Ukraine, otherwise ... Afghanistan ?

I can understand that point. The issue seems to be that some Israelis, who dont seem happy with it either, have been illegally occupying Palestinian land, stealing homes and pushing the Palestinian people out of Palestinian land. The above argument you made would hold water better if the Israelis didnt continue seizing lands NOT borne of the type of conflict you mention.

Do you agree or disagree that Israelis should be allowed to sieze land by essentially stealing homes as they have been? (not spoils of war)
Didn't they initially take that land in the 6 day war? I thought the Golan Hieghts were specifically taken because they found it gave an attacking force too much of an advantage in that war and they never wanted to have to defend against that position again.

What do you suggest is the correct response to losing territory/lands/homes where you havent attacked your neighbour? Where your neighbour just moves in and takes your home and pushes you out Cuckoo style knowing you have the backing of a better military as backup/intimidation?

Where do you put a pin in the timeline vs how long Isreal has been dealing with attacks from said land?

The root cause of the issue is that their neighbors have wanted to destroy them from the beginning.

Mental that they still can fire them, there underground networks must be well fortified surely Israel knows where they are
They need to go in on the ground. Isreal has already said they expect heavy losses on their side too. This will not be easy. Hamas has demonstrated that it's necessary.

Shani Louk, one of the attendants of the music festival in Israel, who was captured by Hamas terrorists, reportedly, is alive and in critical condition in a Hamas hospital.“We now have evidence that Shani is alive but has a serious head injury and is in critical condition. Every minute is critical,” - her mother Ricarda Louk said. She is asking for evacuation for her daughter. Source: Bild

Would post tweet but got picture of her body in truck.

and if the Palestinians put down their weapons there would be no more west bank.nI don't think it is a meaningful comment when both sides want each other eliminated.
Really? You reckon so? So when Israel pulled back when 20 miles from Damascus or 60 miles from Cairo in 1973 they couldn't have continued? When they handed back the Sinai peninsular to the Egyptians and a swathe of land in Syria between Golan Heights and Damascus, those nefarious Jews immediately set about trying to resettle it? Or did they sign a Peace treaty with Egypt which is still honoured to this day? Egypt laid down it's arms, agreed to recognise Israel and they have had peace for over 40 years.

The Jews do not want to eliminate the Arabs in Gaza or the West Bank anymore than they want to eliminate the Egyptians. Like most normal people, they want to get on with their lives without having to be on a constant war footing.
