IT recruitment agency recomendations

Hi there,
I'm back looking for a perminant position again as the contracting i've been doing isn't nearly regular enough.
Just wondering if anyone can recomend a decent recruitment agency for IT jobs in the south east, Guildford and London area really

No such thing as a good recruitment agency they are all evil & crap. Just look on the job sites & apply for posistions that take your fancy.

I agree with the above - however I've done a couple of positions that could have turned permanent but i turned down with badenock & clarke.
They have offices in Croydon.

The guys in the office are good, the payroll call centre sometimes need a kick is the a$$ though!

Trouble is, 95% of these adverts are placed by agencies - unless I'm looking at the wrong job sites?

There are some very good smaller agencies, but you should try to get 'word of mouth' on these. Always look at their website - often a good indication of their professionalism and quality.

Be ware of agencies who try to offer you 3 or 4 different roles every time you talk to them, it shows they are unfocused and clutching at straws to get a role filled.

There's a very good, small, agency in Surbiton (20 minutes up th a3) that i use

thats what this post is about really

getting some word of mouth(ish) recomendations. I'm mainly trawling the sites, but on the off chance that someone knows a decent one i though i'd ask.

Hays got me my last 2 jobs, they seemed pretty good generally.
