It's On! Floyd Mayweather - Conor McGregor **No discussions of illegal streams**

Mcgregors 'punchers chance' of winning got a tiny bit better today with the news that they'll be using 8oz gloves, not the usual 10oz normally used at 154.

Why do we think Mayweather has pushed for this ?

Mayweather did say he wasn't going to be all defensive so maybe this could be a bit of a brawl.

8oz gloves isn't going to make a difference, I don't think Mcgregor quite understands how good Mayweather is, no matter the gloves, Mayweather is still going to win. There is a reason why he is 49-0. He has fought more powerful, faster and vicious pound for pound fighters that are far more superior than Mcgregor in boxing, and he has walked through them all.

Mayweather has fought almost his entire career in 8oz gloves, so it isn't really going to disadvantage him in any way whatsoever. The whole stunt is probably just to try and generate a bit more interest in this 'circus act' because it gives the illusion that it shifts the balance in Mcgregors favour, does it heck!!

I don't doubt for a minute that Conor believes in his own ability and doesn't fear Mayweather in the slightest, AND he'll take the fight to Mayweather which at least means it'll be interesting to see but I've a feeling all this boxing he's learnt in training, the technique he's been trying to pick up all goes right out the window when he finds out he can't land a meaningful punch on Floyd, and he starts getting peppered with shots. He'll go back to what he knows best which is MMA style boxing which isn't really boxing at all. He'll gas out and probably get stopped late. It'll be intriguing nevertheless so see how it all plays out.

Have Floyd's crew considered what will happen if he gets knocked out? The chances are slim but it only takes 1 clean hit to knock someone unconscious. McGregor is unbearable now, think how he'll be if he wins.

I'm fully expecting the ref to protect mayweather though, same as the judges.

I've got the fight going this way.

first 1-3 rounds FMJ will let CM be the aggresor. Using his shoulder roll to deflect most of the shots that do hit and uses this time to figure out CM

rounds 4-6 FMJ has connor worked out and starts hitting him with some lovely counters. CM starts getting flustered and gets swelling around the eyes. Starts gassing out due to missing so many punches.

rounds 7-8 - I see FMJ stopping CM with a body punches

Body punches will be conor's undoing i reckon, he will defiantly be the aggressor as he has no fear of floyds power, probably a big mistake, i see floyd tiring him out and out working him

I can see Floyd being more attacking and aggressive in this fight compared to previous as McGregor will no doubt leave himself wide open. As much as people mention Mayweather not being able to KO fighters he knocked down Hatton twice who was a really tough gritty fighter and he had a far better defence than what McGregor will.
Have any more undercard fights been confirmed yet apart from Cleverly? This should really have had a stacked exciting undercard as no doubt the main event is going to be a let down.

I don't think FMJ has 'KO' power any more (Pretty Boy had a great KO run. Money May, not so) but I certainly think he can knock out CM. Not with one punch but it will all accumulate and tie that up with CM being gassed out. I find it hard to see anything but 50-0

FMJ has been in with all sorts of fighters and he always finds a way to win, whilst making world class opposition look average. People keep saying FMJ hasn't fought anyone like CM before... But has CM ever fought someone like FMJ before?

They are both laughing their way to the bank.
Absolutely this,
this fight is nothing but a circus, its money in the bank for them both nothing more.

If it was a true/pure boxing match McGregor would be out early.
I forsee these 2 in cahoots to make it go the distance (or at least past 7/8 rounds, just so that there isn't uproar if it turned in to "the great white hype"
