not that i have any links or anything as evidence of there arrival.

but i wonder if they will or will not arive or for pre-order today on ocuk or any website really like the roumers of the 2nd said :p

i bet a tenner that says they dont ;)

why preorder for? wait and see how crap it really is before making your decision.

one thing though, it better be dam sight more powerful than G80, i mean why would ati release a new gfx card with proprietry power connectors etc if the card is gonna be lame?

im expecting good things from r600, no less than 30% speed increase over a 8800ultra.

yup true.

i bet by mid day today there will be things saying its been delayed instead of "WOO THERE ON SALEE"!!!

wish theyd hurry up

I think we were all expecting good things from R600 until realisation slowly started to kick in.

Don't get me wrong, I hope R600 is going to be an awesome card, I just have my doubts, that is all.

To be honest I'd be happy with a 5-10% increase over a GTS, and comparatively priced, of course.

One thing's for sure, that is, I'll be happy to eat your cardboard undies if it's anywhere near 30% faster than an 8800 ultra = not going to happen. :D

I expect the R600 will probably be within arround 5% of 8800GTX performance. If they price it competitively people will buy the card for any added features it has & also for its better value. I dont care when a card has come out, as long as when i want to buy one it offers better value for money. If it has better drivers than Nvidia that will be an added bonus & so will better dual card implementation, whilst not something i personally am concerned with, it appears that Crossfire will give a better performance increase than will SLI.

The unjustified hype behind DX10 cards means ATI needs to release DX10 hardware parts & this will be their starting point followed by their mid & low range DX10 parts.

No way is it going to be +30% Cyber-Mav, so you can rest easy and start saying "i told you so" to everyone
TBH I am expecting it to be slower than a GTX (in DX9 at least), the question for me is by how much.
I have a feeling it might be around 10% faster than a GTS, which for me won't be enough (except benchies were it seems to be a teeny bit slower than a GTX).
If it can game within 10-15% of a GTX in high res with decent AA/AF, I will get one, something tells me it might not be that straightforward.

The card won't be on sale today for certain, I hope that we may get an NDA lifted so we can see some full reviews, but again I expect it won't be the case :(

We'll probably find out one way or another at around 2pm.

I hope that, at the least, the NDA is lifted so I have some new reviews to read. It's been stale as of late.

i wonder if theirs any reports on the how much power it consumes and how hot it gets, because i certainly will want to overclock it after some stable results have been achieved from the benchmarks.

Surely if the R600 was a real competitor for the GTX then we would see some benchmarks/reviews today at least.
If the whole Dailytech thing was some sort of ploy from either ATi or NVidia then surely ATi would want to, at least, release some good information today to counteract the results from DT, if indeed they are incorrect/non-factual.
All of this silence just seals the doubt in my mind that what we have seen so far is indicative of the truth.

All this speculation will not prompt a major manufacturer to release any information if their product is under NDA, be the reports positive or negative, I wouldn't take any lack of response as a good or bad sign.
They would expect you to think that the reports should not be taken seriously, as if the reporters haven't signed an NDA they don't get official access to the products.
I don't give any credibility to those reports due to the haphazzard way things were tested, but I have little doubt the GTX will still be faster in most cases.

HardOCP recently said in their "State Of The Silicon Union" article that the 2900XT consumes 50W more than the top end 8800 Series cards. Take it with a pinch of salt though, as publishing that would be a breach of the NDA.

Each card is supposed to come with an internal crossfire cable / ribbon - unlike for Nvidia cards where this comes with the motherboards.
