I've been down the strip club again...

How far back were you from the model ?

If i use my nifty fifty in that scenario i have to be about 15 feet away!?

Nice lighting but not sure on the second pic, her feet are out of focus (yes, i cant talk) but if your going to shadow out the rest of her body it seems a bit strange ?

Varied a lot, when I'm shooting I like to get quite close to the subject, and the 17-40L isn't the ideal lens for this so it's hard to say.

Her feet are out of focus due to the depth of field. But thats how I want it, I don't want people looking at her feet, just her face :) See here

Focus point is on her forehead/eyes. Normally you aim for the eyes but I was shooting at a large aperture so it would easily get her whole face in focus.

I'm off to bed as I have to be up at 6am for work :( - Got through 50 images tonight, will post some more tomorrow and carry on with them as well then.

Blimey, this strip club must be one rough joint!

Are you planning to touch these up? (photos not the strippers).
You forget, this place is normally very very dark, so little 'imperfections' are normally hidden :)

Studio lights reveal all!!! :)

But yes I will be touching them up, paint on the table edge for example.

I quite like the lighting here, it makes a big difference IMO. :)

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about the orangeness, look thru any copy of nuts/zoo/etc. and you'll see that most of the girls little pretty orange also. :)

What will you use to touch up the skin of the models?

:p

To be honest I'm not a massive fan of skin smoothing, they always end up looking like play-doh by the time I'm done. So I try to avoid it.

What would you do to improve the 'orange peel' type forehead of the girl in the first picture.

Does Lightroom 3 have any feature that deals with this? Or, do you just use something similar to the clone tool in Photoshop?

Image 9823 looks interesting from the small thumbnail in your earlier post. Any chance of you posting the larger version?

Well Jason Cole posted a good skin smoothing tutorial, so I may give that a go :)

Yeah I can do when I get in :) - Looks like my plans for tonight have cancelled, ah well...a night processing boobies it is :D - Also regarding LR3 I'm not sure as I don't use it. Normally in photoshop I clone out spots and scars, that's about it. Otherwise my images are very much 'as the person was'

That or round the other halfs...we'll see....
