i've built my first pc pics included

Wow that is most excellent!! Thanks for posting those photos. Im thinking of building my next PC but Im still apprehensive as i know nothing about the subject ,specially when it comes to selecting components. But your thread has now encouraged me further to think about it!

Is that cooler from a Toyota Land Cruiser? I like it!

im in the same boat didnt have a clue how to build nor overclock hence the million questions without these guys i would be stuck or worse blow up the pc never be affraid to ask like me i tend to learn better when people type it out makes it easier, all i can say is go for it:D

Ok well to get to 3.4GHz, you do FSBx8 (8 is your current multiplier). So change ya FSB to 426 (426x8=3408) and that will give you your 3.4GHz clock.

However, I wouldn't jump straight to that, cos you will get confused at whats killing it. So go to 3.3GHz first, then rn small FFTs and if it lasts, up it to 3.4GHz then run small ffts again. At some point in that increase you WILL need to up ya vcore, so up that a notch everytime it fails.

ok mate i be working on that now then let you know my progress:D

ok so far its stable at 3.2ghz ran prime small fft and blend no problems left it running all day whilst at work temps 57c max im set at

cpu ratio frequency 08.0
fsb frequency 400
pcie frequency 100
fsb strap to north bridge 400mhz
dram frequency ddr2-1066mhz
dram frequency manual
cas latency 5 dram clocks
dram ras to cas delay 5dram clocks
dram precharge 5dram clocks
dram ras active to precha 15 dram clocks
rest on auto

cpu voltage 1.30
dram voltage 2.10
rest on auto
cpu spread spectrum disabled
pcie spread spectrum disabled

advanced
cpu ratio setting 08.0
cie support disabled
max cpuid value limit disabled
intel virtualiztion tech enabled
cpu tm function enabled
excute disable bit enabled

think i have set everything correct, should i go to 3.6ghz whats the next best settings to add?
