As title... basically, ive got a P5B deluxe lying around, and Im thinking of making a PC around it. Just wondering - is an E2180 OK for it? Any issues? And does it overclock this CPU well, like it did with my E6400?

Cheers in advance.

The E21xx range are great chips. The difference between them and the more expensive C2D's is usually very small. And they usually overclock very well.

Cheer for the comments bud.

Just wondering - because of the high 10x multiplier, I guess that 3.0G should be achievable by cranking the FSB to 300. Ive also got some OCZ Platinum Rev2 (2x1G PC6400) mem lying around (Ive go so many bits lying around as Im an impulsive upgrader LOL) and was wondering what memory divider setting I should use? 1:1 would only yield a mem speed of 600mhz, which is a bit low for that mem?

Yip 300x10 should be a doddle.

You can either keep the memory on 1:1 and try to tighten the timings, or set it to 4:5 and run it at the 4-4-4-12 settings. But the difference will be small anyway.
