I've joined the dark side...Core i7 Build

Looks good, not sure on the VGA cooler, according to this 4870 is newest one supported, granted the 4890 is very new, may be worth firing an email to them to clarify compatibility.

Also not had much experience of the coolermaster heatsinks, I'd go for a Noctua or TRUE or something along those lines, but tbh the coolermaster will most likely suffice.

Id change mobo and PSU personally, but it'll push your budget up, whats your max?
Well, I'll be paying over a year, so I guess I could stretch it a tiny bit more...

I've sent them an e-mail and am awaiting their reply.
As for the Cooler Master...was on special offer so why not? :D

you see the cooler you picked for the GFX card?

DO NOT get it if you value your ears. Its is the noisiest thing i ever owned... It does cool well... but its not worth it...

ill change the LCD, far better ones for that price but considering your gonna pay over a year. Samsung maybe.

if your keeping to a budget, then cut items out that you know you can aford without the interest free, like cut out the speaks and get a better LCD.

so instead of 172 for LCD, you got a budget of 230 for a Nice great LCD.

dont be sucked in to buying the lastest graphic card, considering your only playing on a 24 inch. 260 gtx or even 4870.

because you saved come cash on graphic card you can look to spend that extra saving on something else, like a better motherbroad.

think about it, more dont = quality.
cut some items out your list to get better quality items.

^^For people with poor eyesight like myself ;)

I personally would spend a bit more on the motherboard, I'm not a great fan of MSI boards, plus it's a hideous brown colour and no real colour coding whasoever. Pretty vomit inducing you've got to admit?

The image is same size as that? :P
It's a thumbnail...you click on it...and then again?
Anyway, so the 4890 isn't worth it?
Anyway...I'll update as soon as I get back!
(I'll go to 4870, 22" monitor, Rampage II Gene)

Why not just post the correctly sized image in here instead of making people click a couple more times :rolleyes:

You do realise the ASUS Rampage II Gene is a mATX board?

I do realise the ASUS Rampage II Gene is a mATX board, but performs similarly if not better than the P6T Deluxe.
I've update the post.
I'll take screenshots later.

You can't get spend all that money on a case with a side window and then put a mATX board in it surely?

Apart from the fact it will look totally lost in there, you'll be seriously lacking any expandability, which sort of defeats the object of buying a big case like that.
