"Jade Goody's husband Jack Tweed fears he could be in jail for her funeral"

Well maybe he shouldn't go clubbing people over the head with golf clubs and attacking taxi drivers.

To think he only served four months of his first eighteen month sentence!

Poor musunderstood chap!

has he started selling silly stories for money aswell? maybe they shouldnt let him out just because hes making a big thing out of it, maybe he would be escorted by police officers but i'd imagine thats how people let out for funerals are treated? whats he expecting a day out where he can go to the funeral and spend the day with his mates at the local boozer after? maybe a kebab and chips before lockdown

Let him go to the funeral, then whack an extra day on at the end. What difference does it make?

its suposed to be a punishment maybe part of that punishment should cover unforseen deaths etc or maybe they should let inmates out on there birthdays , national holidays , christmas period etc.

its not fair keeping them all locked up.

a day i dont think that is right a few hours escorted by police in handcuffs seems about right. hes a prisoner treat him like one

Yeah, and this is called compassion. We're supposed to be better than those who commit crime, not dishing it out like for like.

There you go, there is a compromise see. No one's arguing that he shouldn't be serving time, but having time off simple to mourn / visit his wife's grave isn't exactly going to cause the whole justice system to come crashing down is it?

Christ, you lot need to stop being so damn knee-jerk all the time.

What's the point in sending someone to prison if you can just nip out for every important event in your life?

They're obviously not just letting people out for every 'important event' though are they? Get a grip. I'm not saying that Tweed has any more right than other prisoners who have had spouses die whilst serving time, but other prisoners haven't had these bizarre events surrounding them, or the media banging on their door.

Will it hurt -- considering they already allowed the wedding to go ahead -- to let him see her off? No. It's not as if her death was unexpected is it?

Mountain out of a damn molehill.
