I was considering one of these myself, but i have not heard great things to be honest, it's definately not considered one of there finest, which is strange as all the ingrediants were these for it to be very decent, mondeo running gear and 4 wheel drive and a uprated V6

Before I got my Accord I had one of these, a 2.5 manual on test drive for a week with the leasing company and I have to be honest I just didn't gel with it.
For starters the 2.5 just felt really slow but that is subjective but the 2 things that really killed it for me were, firstly the interior is just so cramped especially in the rear and the secondly, I need to take a trip down the M4 for work and on the way to there I say an X-type on the side broken down and also saw another one on the way back.
Came back home and decided to read up about them and then decided against getting one. This was back in 2004 and I was looking at getting a 2003 model.
