Ah, there you go. Liverpool have agreed £35m for Andy Carroll

-----

That was The Times fella.

I thought Rafa was bad in the transfer market.

£35M, Carroll, hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahh!

The world has gone ****ing mad. £35m fee agreed with Newcastle for Carroll :o

We're being raped because everybody knows we've got cash to burn.

One thing I've seen suggested earlier was it was going to take a 35mil bid to let them talk but that Carroll has little interest in moving to Liverpool. He's born and bred there, and basically a hero, won't be the same for him at Liverpool.

The difference in fee's though is, he's young, shows a lot of promise, maybe not potential to be the best player in the world, he'll never be Messi/Ronaldo, but potential to be a top prem scorer for a LONG time is definately there.

The thing is Newcastle don't want to sell, don't need to sell and the player doesn't want to move nor has asked for a move.

50mil for Torres who wants out is a phenomenal price, like insane, you're utterly utterly ripping off City/Chelsea/whoever he goes to. Not on form, not playing well, and wants out of the club, normally you'd be lucky to get 25-30mil for someone like that. So you're getting 20mil more than you should, and paying 10-15mil more for Carroll than you shoud.

Will be hilarious if Carroll turns down Pool and turns it into a huge new contract at Newcastle.

IS it wrong that as much as we know he is over rated to see the club spending allot is nice in a odd selfish way :P

But why wasnt that amount gone towards Llorennte is more annoying! But if Carroll does well then great he has potential and is young just the price... =/

No one's mentioned what a bad move for Carroll it would be. For the sake of his development he should stay at his home town club

I'd be well pleased and proud in a way (despite not being a Geordie) for some, traditional way I guess, if Carroll turned down the move on the grounds people have mentioned.

That said, Liverpool are tom-tit# this season! :p (which makes it a wee bit easier to turn them down)

Its not a given as our owners/manager havent said anything regarding it, People are guessing like everything, Though if Torre`s was to go i wouldnt see it done till we had another striker in mind personally
