January Transfer Window 2010/2011 Season Rumours/Signings

I'm surprised if that Bendtner rumour is true Fergie isn't offering Diouf (or someone) and 10m for Reina, maybe he's sorting something out? We can hope.

Carroll's a ~£17m player. You could just about justify paying ~£25m on him with it being deadline day, clubs knowing we've got cash on the hip and him being English but £35m? I'm seriously hoping this is either a big joke or a typo.

Its a typo Baz, its £3.5m, bargain! :p

Surely if Liverpool offered Bilbao £30m they could get Llorente, or have they tried already?

Well as posted by some one else Babel out for around £6mil if torres ends up out at reported price £48-50mil

Carroll 35mil (If this even goes through i have a feeling it wont)
Suarez 25mil (As depends on bonus etc)

Still over paid for Carroll but haven't actually spent that we know of any of their funds, Make my day now FSG bid for Llorente please :P

Ajax must be gutted. 9 days of talk and they only get £23M 1 day of Carroll talks they get £35M

It just shows you how ridiculous it is to try and buy English players now, the price for developing talent in the Championship is the same as a foreign international player, and the moment its an English Premier League player then its 2*going rate.

Silly

Nah, as I mentioned way earlier, I am sure they are professional and understand that a deal done in the last 12 hours of the window will increase the price, a young player will increase the price and an English player will increase the price.

I think its too much money at this point, but I can understand why its that high. If its true then I am actually not too upset about it, the important thing for me was to have 2 "strikers" before the window ended and if this is true we have that. I would have preferred someone else, but with only the hours left it was more a question of who was actually available. On the plus side, if Carroll continues to develop nicely then its a player with a decade ahead of him and potentially a main future England striker (though its debatable whether thats a plus or not :D )

I'd much rather sign Llorente but I think it's massively doubtful that we'd be able to do a deal for him in 1 day, not without paying a lot more than £30m for him.

The only way we'd get him would be to pay his buyout clause + the tax etc, which would take the fee close to £50m.

Wise up? Erm Breeze i think we do need wide players but if we lose Torres getting another striker in is more important as for 4 months we can cope with our width and Suarez can play attacking left anyway
