Can't see Forlan moving, Spanish football suits him down to a tee, can't see him fitting in the Spurs team too well and as above age is against him.

Adjusted to inflation i think, doesn't make caroll seem that bad now, makes torres look a steal, makes david villa look like bargain of the century.

True. The most shocking comparison is with David Villa. I know Valencia needed the cash and he's 29(?), but he's proven at every level and a regular 20+ goals a season striker. Carroll has had half a good season at Newcastle and 'pool are willing to spend more on him than Barca did on Villa

Surprised to see JS Veron only languishing down there in 8th, thought he'd been higher...what a leg!
This is possibly the most exciting day I've had in the season so far !!

Some people just aren't suited to the league. If he's doing so well in Spain I wonder why he would even bother coming back here. Unless he thinks he's got something to prove.

Does anyone know how much Tevez was, exactly? It was supposedly 25mil but then several months after he was bought there was all that talk he actually cost closer to 45mil, what was that all about?
Wayne Rooney sucks as a striker, Dzeko is less proven in this league than Carroll, Tevez was essentially unattached to a club(and potentially cost a lot more) and Villa came from a club on the brink of financial meltdown(or are Valencia okay again, they seem to be several hundred million in debt one minute, and fine the next, then back in debt?).
I was going to ask, whats Liverpools situation with the whole 25 squad, 8 home grown, however many foreigners you can have rule. Are they desparate for English players at the moment and therefore with a limited number of English players available, having to pay through the teeth for it?
Gerrard, Caragher, Johnson, Cole are the only people I can think of off the top of my head who are English and first team, Caraghers just about retired, Cole sucks balls, Johnson sucks balls, and other than Kelly theres not much to suggest many youths will make it long term into a side wanting to be top 4.

Yep, not sure why he'd come here, especially as he's getting a bit slower and more injury prone. Still, I'd love to see him here and I do think he would be a success this time around
That would be the best outcome for us during this transfer window.
At least will give us a fighting chance for the Champions League place (yes I know its a long shot, but its been a crazy session so far and has already been proven that anything can happen).
Then let Torres go in the summer, and if we manage to qualify for CL who knows who we will be able to bring in
