This. Not a single hard shred of evidence from anyone bar Newcastle saying a new bid was rejected. No one even knew it was 35 million it seems, complete speculation.

Almost no point watching SSN or anything during the day. Just wait till the deadline is closed and see who's sat down at what table.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

I think Liverpool should go back to Torres and say we've done everything we can to find a replacement but you didn't leave the club enough time. We'll assess the situation again in the summer.

Meh, you just have to read the SSN "Deadline Day Clockwatch" to realise every other line is completely contradictory :\

Why do you think I came in here to mock so mercilessly whilst I could? Usually I never bother with transfer deadline day until it's over, but I couldn't pass up the chance to make fun of this before it never materialised.

Now I don't know who to laugh at more. Your lot for bidding £35m, Newcastle for rejecting it, or whoever made this all up.
