Thanks for that Tom. There has been discussion on NUFCBlog.co.uk about our approach and I said we shouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Others were less harsh and said that if it was for £1m then it'd be worth the risk.

I just see a Nile Ranger all over again.

Morrison is a good talent no question of that. He does seem to have a lot of hangers on though who are ill advising him. He needs to heed what Rio is telling him and stay focused.

Unfortunately, If I were to predict his career, I would say it is going to go more Rhodri Giggs than Ryan Giggs.

I think you may well be correct with that prediction.

Haven't followed him at all really so I don't know a whole lot about either the good or bad about him. The strongest sign I have that he might actually not be a decent guy is from a lad I work with, whenever Morrision's name was brought up he couldn't hide his disdain for him. This obviously poked our curiosity and after a hell of a lot of not so gentle ribbing he eventually admitted he was his step brother (his dad married Morrison's mother iirc).

Needless to say he has absolutely nothing good to say about Morrision. Of course the mickey taking did not stop once he'd revealed all of this :D and it could turn out he's simply taken a personal dislike to him for whatever reason. I doubt it though and will be shocked if Morrision's bad behaviour doesn't persist for however long his career lasts and beyond.

I hate the whole 'ITK' type thing, but the guy that got the Ruiz deal spot on when Fulham signed him (before any rumours/press stuff) has said Fulham are set to sign someone for ~£50k/week within a few days and it's someone no Fulham fan would believe we could sign.

It's Tevez

Apparently Inter are in talks for Kolarov and Tevez.

Happy to see Tevez go, would like to see Kolarov stay as he has ability but if we can get near the price we paid then we can go for someone like Cissokho.

Rumours that Samba is also possibly coming to City with Onouha+cash to Blackburn.

Kompany and Samba is a pretty fierce CB partnership if it happens.

Samba would be a big upgrade from Lescott, though thats not exactly saying much. Would take Samba at Tottenham, but can't see him being anything more than 3rd choice, behind Kaboul (immense this season) and a ball player like King/Gallas.

Next year should see emergence of Caulker currently on loan at Swansea. Pundits are bigging up Jones and Smalling but I have little doubt he will be an England starter in a couple years.

1st choice?

Probably 3rd choice behind Lescott. I was just saying that Kompany and Samba would be a good partnership not that hes replacing Lescott.

You need someone to replace Lescott. He is a reliability, and not good enough for a team challenging for the title.
