LOLing at reliability and also on the earlier sarcastic suggestion of utd needing yakubu

and now I'm lolling at just the thought of yakubu altogether. one of the funniest players I've ever watched when he was here. nearly every goal looked like an accident

whats wrong with lescott. solid defender. ship him back to everton if you dont want him :)

everton signs gibson. not sure whether to get excited or not. another man utd reject.

You need someone to replace Lescott. He is a reliability, and not good enough for a team challenging for the title.
I don't think we do unless we are talking Silva, Puyol and so on. Otherwise we have no point in replacing him.

Alongside Kompany he plays very well indeed, he makes a few mistakes but no one is perfect.

Next year should see emergence of Caulker currently on loan at Swansea. Pundits are bigging up Jones and Smalling but I have little doubt he will be an England starter in a couple years.

Caulker has been brilliant for us, especially paired with Ash. I'm gonna be gutted when he has to go back.

1st choice?

Probably 3rd choice behind Lescott. I was just saying that Kompany and Samba would be a good partnership not that hes replacing Lescott.

Of course you were.

I wouldn't even say he is your third choice! I'd put him behind Rio, Vidic, Smalling and Jones! :o

Have a think about how many CBs you have to play at one time. ;)

On the BBC Sport website now. He'll be a great signing for them, really could be the player who stops them from going down.

Love how Santa Cruz is instantly talked about as a target just because Hughes is there. :D

Really not getting the Lescott hate either.
a lot of it is because of the price he cost.

He was overpriced but thats the nature of the market when we want to sign players and Hughes is the manager.

As i said earlier us signing Samba i don't think would mean the replacement of Lescott it would be more like replacing Kolo.

Hmmm looks like Wenger wont be forced into buying anyone in the transfer window as he feels that signing players now wil mean they wont be committed to the cause. So whilst our injury ridden players are no closer to coming back, Wenger feels that theres no need to buy :/

Although the latest rumour is that we are being linked with the Utd midefielder Ravel Morrison.

nahhh Arsenal arent much of a threat - SAF's plan is to sell Morrison to the biggest threat so he can destroy the club single-handedly from the inside:D

Yes you only play 2, but of he is behind 4 others, how can he be 3rd choice? He's 5th choice. Your point makes no sense.

Yes it does. I would say Evans is our 4th best CB, behind Vidic, Ferdinand and Smalling (in that order). Therefore, our first choice CBs are Vidic and Ferdinand, meaning second choice is Smalling and third choice is Evans.

Its just very unfortunate that Evans is sooooo far behind even Smalling let alone Vidic / Rio
