Berbatov off to Leverkusen.

rumoured for quite a while - or have you heard its a done deal?

edit - ssn : "spotted taking a flight to Frankfurt today"

Not that much of a surprise, but would prefer we have four strikers available (does M Owen actually count? lol) - especially given at least two are usually injured...if you include Michael lol

Do you really think he would be allowed to leave on a free?

and while Utd have an option for another 12 months - is it likely SAF would agree to it given how expensive its likely to be and how little he is currently played?

remy to spurs seems to be gathering a bit of pace

Hate that guy!

we flew the bugger over to our new traning ground via private jet. Come down signed a few stoke shirts had his photo taken and then buggerd off back to france and signed for Marselie.

Sky Sports sources understand Dimitar Berbatov is travelling for talks over a return to Bayer Leverkusen, while there is also interest from Bayern Munich and Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Manchester United striker has fallen down the rankings in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans and, with his current contract set to expire in the summer, he has been linked with a move.

Berbatov said in December he had no plans to leave Old Trafford, but he was on Sunday spotted taking a flight to Frankfurt, where he was expected to hold discussions with Leverkusen.

There has been talk of United possibly offering the 30-year-old a 12-month contract extension, but there is also interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and wealthy Russian club Anzhi.

Berbatov left Leverkusen in 2006 to join Tottenham, before moving on to Untied in 2008 in a £30.75million switch.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :(

This may come back to bite me but is that not simply Sky putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 17? There's no game now until next Sunday so it's perfectly feasible that he's just been given a day or two off

that reads like my college work..... basically putting a lot of flesh onto some pretty bare bones by a very skilled journo!!

City have refused a bid (20.7m) from Inter for Tevez by all accounts, what are City playing at? They dont need the money and tbh 20m for a player who hasn't played since September is probably a fair reflection of his current value

Given City's financial situation I'm not sure why they haven't just let him walk away on a free or better yet simply sacked him, it's almost like they enjoy the publicity him still being at the club generates :/
