City would be stupid not to accept that.

City are stupid in all honesty...hope this Tevez thing comes and bites them hard on the arse.

They should accept the £20 mill that inter are giving them and draw a line under it in all honesty.

£23m for Cahill :/

Im pretty sure its actually £7mill for the fee and then £13mill for his contract length??...well thats what i gathered from SSN yesterday.

£23mill for Cahill, if thats the transfer fee is silly lol....if true Bolton are laughing all the way to the bank.

torres to spurs for modric + cash. hmmm i don't believe it but i quite like the sound of it.

That's real January make believe. :D I see Torres coming good and staying. It will be interesting to see whether Modric will still be a target in the summer.

They don't need the money and they probably think he is worth more than that. I can't imagine that Mancini wants to let Tevez go for way under his value because he has behaved like a complete ****. Sets a good example to the rest of the team doesn't it.

I doubt Mancini would care if he never saw Tevez kick a football again so is happy enough to let him play golf till a good offer comes in.

You like the sound of taking Torres and giving Modric and cash

oh no, chelsea would be giving the cash. i think torres would smash them in with the service he'd get from us but i can't see it happening but if modric puts his foot down in the summer and wants to leave and torres continues to give a poor return who knows?

looking at the ridiculous cahill figure, it's quite clear that roman isn't bothered about financial hits right now

Stupid for not giving into a deal made by Kia for Kia and Tevez.

Stupid for putting our foot down a bit and not being over run by players.

Why accept 20m when other teams are going to come in for him and pay more.

after seeing that Cahill has gone for 23, I retract my statement :D

did you not see that coming, really?

yes, let him go and get something for him rather than paying him to be a argentina's next big golf superstar

who exactly is coming in for him, both the milan sides seem pretty fed up with it as well as everyone else

Can't believe how badly United have treated Berba. He doesn't get his games but when he does he scores and then SAF just lets him rot on the bench again.

I like Berbatov and want him to stay in this country but United don't want him, City don't need him. He'd be better at Chelsea than Torres and better than Carroll at Liverpool. Arsenal could also use him to feed RVP, not that he needs feeding.

Cissokho to Newcastle popping up again. Player confirmed Lyon and Newcastle are in talks

If Newcastle do sign him I think Simpson will be on his way out

Newcastle possible back 4
Santon Williamson Sideshowbob Cissokho

You could ditch Simpson if he's getting too big for his boots. But isn't firstly, he a left back, would that mean Santon goes to right back? Secondly, if Simpson suddenly doesn't think he's indispensible he might be willing to accept a more reasonable contract offer, and then you'd be starting to look like you had a bit of defensive cover, Taylor in an extreme emergency, Santon playing either side, and Simpson, you've got enough quality that rotation and resting for a game won't hurt the defence as badly.

Right now simpson seems to think he's undisputed first team and that he'd get better offers. If he suddenly not first team and no one else decides to throw money at him, i can see his attitude to a new deal changing pretty fast ;)

Or worst case, you have probably a better player, and you do what Newcastle have done well, go and find a good cheap young player to be cover at fullback.

Santon is a natural rightback :) but can play in few places. Always had the feeling that Simpson would be sold. He been offered a few contracts now from what I understand

I'd have him back at United in an instant

He pretty poor at crossing and General play but he really has got decent at defending. Also no one has more goal line clearances. Am not his biggest fan but he has been improving

Bought for around 600-700k could end up getting a few million. Would be seen as good business again by the board if he wont sign new contract
