Last time I felt this excited about a centre forward partnership it was Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand.

Have you seen Cisse play? Never heard of him myself

I have no doubt he will continue his goal record achieved in Germany. He will have better supply (biast view) from Cabaye, Tiote, Jonas and Raylor. He will also have an exceptional talent alongside him in Ba (If we don't sell him of course).
He's one of those players who has been average for many years, in average leagues, and had 1-2 decent seasons lately. I remember Tottenham being linked to him as he has something like a 1 goal in 2 games ratio over the last season and a half in Germany (I think), but before that hadn't done much. Will be interesting to see how he does here, and if he is a replacement for Ba, as I've seen floating about today.
Given the quality Dzeko has around him and the amount of goals he scored in Germany, you would have thought he would have done a little better. By no means a forgone conclusion that!

He's good.
As has been mentioned, he was first linked with us last January and I've been keeping an eye out for him since then. I'm please that we are going to be playing two out and out centre forwards and that we are going to be putting crosses into the box.
Also when you look at the strikers we've had since Ferdinand it's not that hard to get excited:
Guivarc'h, Tomasson, Rush, Saha, Gallacher, Cordone, Cort, LuaLua, Kluivert, Luque, Owen, Smith, Viduka, Xisco, Nacho,
(Exceptions: Asprilla, Ferguson and Bellamy)

Leeds have just sold Howson to Norwich for £2m
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO![]()

Howson seemingly gone, Wigan want McCormack, Bolton want Lees, White will be after that, Clayton approaching the end of his contract...
Last man out of ER turn out the lights.
I definitely agree with that, even at the start of the season when you sold Nolan and had the trouble with Barton it seemed like same old same old Newcastle hitting the self destruct button but fair play no ones thinking like that now. Newcastle look very much a top 7 club and certainly above the likes of Everton now imo
It is a disgrace now, Bates needs putting down.

How can you possibly forget to include Strola in that list?![]()
