January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

Poor performing Cisse? He's been playing right midfield all season, or have you not seen? Ba hardly did anything when he was pushed to left midfield last season if you remember?

I doubt Cisse will score tonight, but the few games after he will start to come back into the goal scoring form we seen at the end of last season.

It is amazing how several Newcastle fans see things so differently, you see the team as 4-3-3 most of the year with Cisse performing crap out of position and I can't remember if you're one of the guys who thinks he's been pushed out to make way for Ba.

Newts thinks their failure is almost entirely down to only playing 4-4-2 this season winning the only game in ages they played 4-3-3 in.

Newcastle have played 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 this year, Ba was moved inside not because he had a strop, but because Cisse has been completely cack infront of goal this year.

He's had plenty, absolutely plenty of great chances to score from within the box, chances he would score last year with no hessitation he's been blasting high/wide this season. He was mostly moved out wide with Ba coming into the middle because Cisse couldn't hit a barn door this year. Playing wide right he's been, less bad than some state, but not very good, he has still found himself in each and every game he's played wide right, inside the box with relatively easy chances(compared to his form last year) and fluffed them all.

Ba last year and cisse this year play wide right strikers who come inside and get into the box a lot, more than they actually do proper "wing" work.

Cisse hasn't been anywhere near his best and I haven't got a clue as too why, its absolutely NOT because he's being played wide, nor anything to do with Ba. Could be anything, spent 6 months in posh Hotel he liked last year but moved into a house with all kinds of stress and problem, maybe his family wasn't around last year and they moved over this year(or vice versa), maybe a family member is dying, who knows. He isn't playing well and losing Ba isn't ideal at all with his form so poor, but there isn't ever a good time to lose a player like Ba and Newcastle don't have much say in the matter.

60% increase in domestic tv rights packages. Overseas will be on top of what's quoted.

1.17billion is the TOTAL tv rights currently per season for domestic and overseas, the expected package for both domestic and oversea's is around 1.7-2billion, the 50-60% increase is total, for all tv rights, and 60mil is what City got total, and this is expected to increase to around £90mil.

I'm not sure what games you have been watching but Cisse has only played through the middle in Europe with kids who couldn't create chances for him. Ba has consistently been the only out and out striker since our opening fixture against Spurs. Cisse has played every game wide right, the games he has missed and shola has played we have went to 4-4-2.

He put away his goal against Man U nice enough, and hopefully that will get the ball rolling...

One bench warmer for another at Chelsea then. They will kill his talent.

Benitez has already said he'll be looking to rest Torres, so Ba as the front man will work better than Sturridge.

Well done to Liverpool for signing him by the way. :D

I think he's a good player tbh, obviously hasn't got a great team ethic and is a confidence player but he does have class about him.

Cisse was part of 442 a system which wasn't working. Ba made more of it and got the middle spot and that hasn't helped Cisse at all. He's out of position and low on confidence (probably because he was forced out wide) he needs a run of games in the middle and he'll probably perk up. He looks like your typical "confidence" striker who needs a run going to play well. I'm not going to lie and say I'm glad how things are working out, I would love to keep Ba, but equally u don't think it's the end of the world as if Cisse gets a run and a goal or two he'll be flying again without a doubt.

I think Sturridge could actually end up upsetting Suarez, he will never, EVER pass to him, and then fluff it wide.

No complaints from me at the moment. :p

Overseas cant be directly compared, as they are being sold directly this time (so its fair to expect a larger jump % wise) rather than as a single bundle.

From everything published so far that Ive seen, the Champions are likely to walk away with north of £100m

at lest this whole saga is coming to an end.

Hopefully we can bag remy now and a a tasty front 3 od Hatem/Pappis/remy

Have no doubts that papis up front for a few games and goals start going in.

Indeed, I remember when he played for City and he looked like he was going to be outstanding, it hasn't worked for him at Chelsea but given he gets games and his confidence back he'll do good at 'Pool.

For me it was the game away at Napoli last year (I think?) when everyone else in a Chelsea shirt was utterly embarrassing and he just looked on another level, his control and dribbling were superb.
