He scored 11, most of them before 2012. Played 28 games and subbed off 18 times. He didn't impress last season, a selfish player lacking in vision. A view also held by my fellow season ticket holders. He need to be playing regularly. It will be interesting to see how he does with your lot.

I think this is your problem right here. He is a great player when he is on form but he is far too selfish and arrogant (perhaps it was simply because he didn't get many starts so tried too hard when he was given a chance) to be part of a solid team unit.

You can be whatever you like if you bang in 25 goals a season and save your team from bad results but he doesn't at the moment. Much better player than Welbeck but he is more of a team player.
 
Really annoys me when clubs like Chelsea do this, yeah it's easy to cherry pick some of the best players from the struggling teams but Newcastle have to withdraw Ba from the squad now the release clause has been met. I'm not a Newcastle fan but its really annoying. Obviously I'm not trying to say that big teams shouldnt buy from struggling clubs, thats just silly, I just mean when teams put in bids on days when the selling team is due to play. It's not very sportsman like imo
 
Presumably when the going gets tough Torres will play in the midweek Champions League games and Ba will... oh...
 
Odjidja-Ofeo looks like he's back on the cards but a permanent deal this time. Hopefully if it does happen then Brugge will actually put the paperwork in on time!

Me too. He comes across as a bit of a **** but his talent is obvious and he's exactly the type of player we need. A lot of people say he's wasteful in front of goal but I read that if you look at his minutes on the pitch, he actually averages slightly better than a goal every other game which considering he plays mainly from a wide position, is an excellent return.
