January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

The worst performer for me this season above all has been Gutierrez.

He now offers nothing going forward, he looks frightened and clueless when he's got the ball. He used to get stuck into players last season, and often relieve the pressure off the defence.

Now he's a complete nobody, and makes far too many mistakes (notably the Suarez goal).

Tiote has made some real errors so far this season, but he is easily frustrated. Tiote plays best when the team are playing well. In that mode there is no better ball wining midfielder in the league. I hope he comes back from the ACN a different player, with a different mindset.

We can't afford to sell any more players. The idea of wanting to sell Tiote and Colo is absurd. That's just asking for relegation.

Again, another worry is that Pardew is only making noise about getting Ashley to release the funds for a striker. When we desperately need a defender

I agree, yes we need a striker, but get someone who can cover Cisse, don't splash £10m on someone, when we don't have a problem scoring goals. We have a problem conceding goals.

A £10m centre half would certainly help out big time. I hope he isn't relying on Taylor to remain fit for the rest of the season. That is a big gamble.

If you read my post it said "dependant on replacements coming in" and I would much rather have two players who are interested than two who aren't.

Arbroath striker Steven dorris on trial at Birmingham :D he's a decent enough striker but wouldn't have thought he'd make an impact at brum.

saving 50% on what united wanted for him isn't shrewd business to you?

Where on earth did we apparently want £6million for him come from?

He went on a free to a foreign club, where no fee had to be paid to us, after training with Spurs in the summer and he's now transferred to Spurs.

I can see why people would say its 'dodgy'.

What you say about having players wanting to play is right...

But these players might not be unhappy, just going through bed spells...

Plus selling 2 more 1st team players now will be really risking, whether we'd have the money or time to bring in other players.

Everyone knows our squad is thin, so if we sell a first team player, we go looking for the same type of player and whoever we try and buy off will know they can up their price because we will be desperate

Will be interesting if Ba plays. Surely Rafa has to keep playing Torres who is at least looking like he can score now, I know a majority of his goals haven't come against the best teams but he is looking a lot better than what he was not too long ago.

Well they need to get up then! :p

We'll just see what happens, hopefully Cashley will spend some.

50% off a gash player doesn't turn him into "shrewd business". It just means that you have another gash player on your books being paid to train and sit on the bench, and that isn't going to help you win anything.

I'm sure he's just as gash as all of those other players "released" from Man Utd's youth academy... Pique, Rossi, Pogba... :p
