January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

Colo wants off, all over BBC news.

Not wanting to be smug but I did tell all you other Toon fans the Argie ***** wasn't interested this year. Get rid.

Curry haired bass drinker!!!!

He is in the squad for tomorrow.

In the plus side cabaye us back and talyor due next game.

Need the fat chairman to open the purse strings a bit.

He Is after all one if the richest men in Britain.

Suarez future with us is apparantly only safe if we get Champs League football which tbh we wont this year, i honestly wouldnt be surprised if he left in the summer for a club in europe.

I know he is hated by most fans and people on this board but i bet any team would have him, I really wouldnt want him to leave. We have also apparantly said would be a required bid of a min of 40M.

All according to goal aka failcrapsite.com

Ronaldo back to United, Suarez off to Real. Job done.

I wouldn't believe goal mate! I say Suarez will give us until next summer and if no CL by then he will be off. We couldn't really begrudge him it to be honest, he has always giving his all for us and tbh deserves a lot more than we can currently supply him with. Definitely in the world's top 10 best players for me.

Oh i dont believe them at all but in general it wouldnt surprise me if that is the situation. I wouldnt eer begrudge him leaving just as i never did Torres either both players are and was exceptional for us just were surrounded by avergeness

''In January 2009, River Plate offered Falcao to Aston Villa for £7m. Martin O'Neill decided to go with Emile Heskey instead.
INTERESTING !''

just read that on a fb page. any truth in that?

didnt Villa get stung with that other striker from River Plate who was a bit up and down for them.

Juan Pablo Angel?

I agree with him giving you another year after this. I don’t think Liverpool are anywhere near a top 4 side this season, but that’s down to the changes in managers over the last two or three seasons, each with their own ideas and types of football.

I know that people will say that Chelsea haven't been stable but have done alright, but have you noticed when they are under pressure they still revert to Mourinho's 4-5-1

For my lot I feel Rooney will be moving on sooner rather than later. Ferguson has come out on three separate occasions this season saying he's unfit, and with his new golden boy in RVP I can see him being comfortable in letting him go. Its not like he has a track record of holding a grudge Ince, Stam, Beckham, Keane etc and letting you go when he feels he’s got what he can out of them

Rooney himself said he was 7 pounds overweight in September, when he should be at his peak. He's 28 next and its only going to get harder for him to stay fit.

"Then I remember – I drank a few bevvies while I was away. I'm stocky. I'm not like Ryan Giggs, all bone and lean muscle. But I gain weight quite easily. It's not a problem though. It's not as if the manager is leaning over my shoulder as the numbers come in, tutting and making jokes about me eating too many chip butties."

I know that it been touted that he will drop into midfield but he doesn’t have the awareness for that position. When you watch a Scholes he makes lots of 5-10 yard passes, when you take in in context he always wants the ball, if he’s got people around him he lays it off, Rooney likes to take a touch and turns into danger more often than not. It’s ok against teams who defend deep he finds space but in the premier league with the likes of Fellani and Dembele ready to steam roller you its a different kettle of fish.

I see an undisclosed transfer fee, probably around £20-£23m, to PSG possibly, touted as soon as we're out of the champions league.

The fact that he's rubbish, in his most injured season he scored basically the same in the league as his best treble season with Inter. In his treble year he scored 4 in 84 shots in the league, and 3 in 32 shots in the UCL... does that sound epic, or not even that good? Reason Sneijder didn't win the player of the year, Messi got 34 in 163 shots thats 1 in 21 vs 1 in 4.9. Scored 49 in all comps vs 9, and both effectively playing as a second striker/playmaker/attacking midfielder role.

His goals/assists per start isn't too bad, but he's averaged what, 18-19 starts a season in the league over the past 4-5 years, he's scored 4 and got 5-6 assists in each of his last 3 seasons while he hasn't played over 30 league games in basicaly 6 years.

200k a week for a guy who is ineffective, selfish and plays significantly less than most other top players, who his club is trying to get rid of and is perfectly happy to go to Turkey for big money rather than try hard in a top league says everything I need to know about him frankly.

Does he score loads to help the team, no, does he have a great assist rate, no, does he play a lot, no, does he work really hard, no, does he inspire or lead the team, no, does he help defensively, not in the slightest. What exactly makes him great?

You do know that if you sum up Sneijder it would be, guy who shoots a lot, doesn't score a lot and likes to play behind a striker passing and not defending at all.... in what way would he be a play B when he plays the same position, in the same was as Santi, but is less effective? Sneidjer isn't a battering ram, he isn't brilliant and running through the defence like Messi then scoring, he is a typical Cazorla style play, not remotely different. A plan B would be Chamakh, or some actual pacey wingers who can beat their man and whip in crosses, or you know, something different to what we have, not more of the same.

How many games did you actually see from the treble season?

Sneijder was one of the best. I don't need to know his goals per shot. For all i care, he can take 1,000,000 shots in a year, but if he scores 100 in a year, then its fine.

That's the more worrying thing for me as it means the likes of Squillacci and Denilson are here to stay.

:( yep basically means we are screwed contract and wages wise with the utter rubbish we have in our squad, cant get rid of them so put them on loan to other teams while we still pay their wages :/.

He scored 4 in the league, I don't care if someone takes 30 or 30,000,000 shots to score 30 goals, but he scored what can only be called a pathetic amount for someone both said to be brilliant, plays as a second striker, takes a lot of freekicks and offers little else in his game. He got 4 goals and 6 assists in his "epic treble season", not 14, or 40, but 4 goals. The difference is he took a huge amount of shots, couldn't score and from watching him he often shot when in stupid positions with better options. He's selfish, wants all the glory and well, top players rarely have such poor finishing. I would say of the what 20 best attacking central midfielders, very very few of them scored as little as 4, very few will have only 6 assists, very few only have one good season, very few get benched with their club begging them to leave or take less money because they are utterly ineffective. Very few teams go on winning runs when they get injured and can't play, and lose when they rejoin the team, very few get shoved out the door of 2 top clubs, etc, etc, etc.

How many games did I watch, plenty, in Europe I thought he was only good in 2-3 games I saw, from the league I watched a half dozen games and didn't see a single great performance and in the world cup almost every game and he did very very little.

Isn't he a 29 year old RB that has sat about at Fulham for the best part of 5 years doing boarder line nothing...

Nice to see Reading have got this transfer window thing sorted, buy rubbish in the summer and replace them at Christmas with someone just as rubbish.

I heard that Reading offered 2m for CMS. I doubt it though, I think Norwich offered more a while ago?

I hope we keep hold of him, but I wouldn't be too upset if we get a decent replacement.

It sounds bit harsh but CMS is quite replaceable (for the right price) and Reading blowing £2m on him despite their defensive and midfield deficiencies is a bit mad.
