January Transfer Window 2012/2013 Season Rumours/Signings

so will zaha be at utd or arsenal as seems like hes moving

i think he'll come to us :D

Zaha tweeted that he was joining the top of the Premiership before quickly removing it so I would say Utd have him in the bag.

Would be nice to add him to Arsenals setup. We could really use him. But then again Utds players are aging and they need to look to the future.

The quoted £12m isnt much of a gamble considering some of the players blth teams have signed recently.

Ooo don't need any mercs

85k a week minimal release fee in contract lol.

Wow that's crazy

That's stupid, better off without at those wages, you don't break the wage structure for someone who is both untested and clearly only in it for the £ notes.

Harry, is that you?

A 3rd Unnamed club has had a bid accepted for remy.

He will decide today.

Got a little bit more info

QPR offered 85k a week and a min release clause in his contract that can be activated in the summer.

His representatives told Newcastle their offer. Newcastle will not enter wage war and are holding firm

Marseille have confirmed a 3rd unnamed club has had a bid accepted

I love that 'Arry has already started to go exactly against his statement 3 weeks ago they don't need to bring in loads of players on big wages... What an idiot he is!

No idea what Newcastle have done to make them selves so unattractive though.

50p says unnamed club is Fulham but they have only offered 60k a week and the promise of no relegation but still living in London... (that or its Reading)

Sky Italy are saying Guardiola has reached an agreement to manage Bayern Munich.

And a 'respectable' French radio station (RMC) are claiming Falcao has agreed to join Chelsea in June.

I dont how that carries any weight, neither club is french, neither of the managers are french, the player isnt french, neither is his agent.

I dont see how they would have the inside track on that, who would be speaking to them?

The quite hilarious thing is Harry has returned SWP, Derry, Hill to the line up, not used Faurlin, used Granero less, moved Mbia into midfield where he's looked a lot less good. Basically he either went for "have to be different to Hughes" or "put some good old english sluggers in the team, that always works" tactics. Hughes used SWP and then finally dropped him used Park, found out he was crap and dropped him, Mbia/Diakete were just starting to get decent in their positions, Granero was pretty damn good and improving by the game, Faurlin was fantastic for them last year. Oh, Harry started using Park again as well. Diakete was quite a driving force and was linking up with people well, Mbia doesn't seem good in midfield, bad shot, not creative with his passing, much better defensively and looked much better at CB than in midfield.

Now he's trying to replace all of them, what they needed really was the team Hughes was starting to play every game that was looking better, and buy a striker as Cisse was crap, Mackie isn't horrendous, but he's not good either and Zamora lost his form and then got injured(though he'd likely be better without Park/SWP/Cisse around him). No idea what Redknapp is up to, kind of strikes me as Redknapp playing the worst players so the owner will back all his dodging dealing, which I suspect Mancini did just before the summer transfer window shut.

Frankly if they managed to get a left back and Dawson or the like which they tried in summer, and a striker plus the team Hughes was playing it would be a not bad side. Getting rid of SWP, Cisse and Park would help them no end, big money, no talent... Cisse has shown ability before but looks horse**** at the moment.

AS for what makes Newcastle unattractive, they aren't, give a player a choice of clubs offering 40k a week and Newcastle would be near the top, random club comes in and offers player who is worth 40k an 80k a week contract, its not even a contest, as for being a mercenary, the vast majority of the worlds population work for money, not love and would take double the pay.

Chelsea's Lucas Piazon is off to Malaga on loan; speculation it could be done as part of a deal to bring Isco in the summer.

Interesting as there was supposedly a picture of him at Manchester airport earlier today (not that I would recognise manchester airport lol)

Yeah I saw that, apparently he was on the first train south this morning once we actually put a bid in for him. Exciting as we desperatly need another CB seeing as Fonte is out for a bit (leaving us with Hoovield who has managed to score 3 own goals so far)

Benitez on Piazon and Lukaku:

On Lucas Piazon heading out on loan and the possibility of Romelu Lukaku being recalled
Benitez confirmed that Piazon, who made his Premier League debut in our 8-0 win against Aston Villa last month, will be joining Malaga on loan until the end of the season, but cited Lukaku's impressive run of form at West Bromwich Albion as a good reason for the Belgian to remain at the Hawthorns.

'We have an agreement with Malaga, so Lucas will go there, and it's a loan until the end of the season,' said Benitez.

'It's not easy. Lukaku went there and is doing well, it's part of his development, playing in the Premier League and getting experience. We will see, you never say never because something may happen tomorrow and you have a problem, but at the moment the idea is for him to stay there and gain more experience.'

Completely agree, the only people with any loyalty in football is the fans, we like to pretend that a player loves the club and wouldn't do the 'dirty' but give anyone double their money and they would soon have their heads turned

Didnt realise Michael Johnson was released from his contract over Christmas. Has he really gone that far down hill?

Hasn't he put on about 6 stone while being injured or something stupid, How you can lose you're discipline at 24 is ridiculous, injured or not. his team photo is pretty funny, although im sure they have edited it a little.

He is finished unless he decides himself he want's to change.

I can only assume that he had the best medical care and mental care available to him since he suffered his injury and since then he has been arrested for drink driving, seen out in nightclubs and not been seen at the club for a very long time.

Its a real shame what has happened but I guess some people just can't cope when everything blows up in their face. Some come back from lengthy injuries like Wilshere and are seemingly fine once again and some go like Johnson.

Mbia has tweeted saying that Remy has signed

Hmm seen on twitter Qpr are denying it's true yet??

Think he going to qpr anyhows

Comfimed 2m bid for Massadio Haidara for newcastle. Roma interested also. He is a leftback

I read about Haidara, and I also read that he said he prefers Roma to Newcastle. But as above, offer him double the wage and there is no competition. Also, Roma said they are buying nobody in January.

We will wait and see.

Aye

"I prefer Roma to Newcastle, as I prefer Serie A.

I'd love to play in Italy, though Newcastle are also a good team"

Think we been given permission to speak to him now.
Could santon be in his way out or is he coming in as backup competition?
