*January Transfer Window 2014/15 Season Rumours/Signings*

De Gea really is the only option to replace Iker at RM. I don't see RM buying Neuer or Courtouis. I hope De Gea stays at UTD as he is keeping us from being a mid table team.

I can't see De Gea staying unfortunately. As mentioned above, he's the only option to replace Casillas and when RM want someone, they usually get him.

I don't think he'd turn down the opportunity either.

The only way I'd not be too angry about it would be if we did get Bale in the deal as well, but I really can't see that ever happening.

Yeah I agree with everyone else, I think De Gea is bound to go. Hopefully he at least does the decent thing and signs a new contract so that RM have to pay big bucks for him, it would be a real kick in the teeth if he used the contract situation to force a cut-price move to Real. I really hope we get Bale as part of any deal rather than just a large transfer fee, that would at least soften the blow.

Sadly, when Real or Barca come knocking it's very difficult for most players to turn them down, particularly when they come from Spain.

We are still really poor at chance creation.

All the blame is being levied at Soldado but many of Kane's goals were self created.

This is a problem going back to AVB: our strikers create space or lay on goals for whoever is in the pocket but no one does the same for them.

made a bid for mirallas apparently

meh

What would you do?

Sign the deal to get Manu more money or not sign and get more money in your wages per week? I think I'd run the contract down, he doesn't owe them anything. When the time came to get rid of him/retire him they wouldn't give him a 5 year deal to ease him away as a nice thing to do. They should have sorted his contract earlier, but they didn't when he wasn't looking the best in europe. Tough **** tbh.

He might just want confirmed CL football, or he could go to Spain have a better lifestyle, more money and guaranteed CL football for the next 15 years. No brainer.

De Gea will be gone in the summer, Madrid born and wants to play regular Cl football and become dominant Spanish No.1. (I would imagine).
He has been on fire this season and really is helping Man Utd out, be sad to lose another PL star to Spain.

what complete drivel - do you just make this **** up in your own little world?

Everything he said is on the money. He doesn't owe them anything, he'll make more money and he's guaranteed CL football.

1) No reason to believe he isn't gaurenteed CL football with Man U from next season (which is all he will get anyway)

2) Apart from standing by him when he wasn't so good and giving him the chance to come good

3) He has the same agent as Falcao so that's why De Gea's team isn't sitting down trying to get a deal fixed as much as anything else ( on the deal that has been on the table a while)

but why would anyone, particularly a Spaniard, choose Man U over Real? If they want him, they'll get him. He should be the Spanish number 1 because Casillas is basically Al Habsi minus 2 inches and will probably be for the next 8-10 year.

Just because that's your opinion (and maybe the majority on here) , it only matters to the Spanish National team manager at the time what he believes.

At the end of the day, the incumbent player (what ever position, whatever club) in form is going to stay playing until injury or form upset that - for major / majority of games.

United already have a small clan of Spanish / Spanish speakers who De Gea is close to (even without the rumours of more coming) ....and remember De Gea's AM roots, he wouldn't be the first to not particularly be keen to join their city rivals.

As ive said before It could well happen - but its by no means as blindly obvious and one sided as some want to think

edit - also it depends on if its just going to be cash - whether Man Utd can force RM to fork out the rumoured £50m , and whether they would be prepared to pay that much (instead of waiting another year) for a position they already have reasonably well covered already

1) He's 100% guaranteed CL football with Real, not sure with Man Utd.

2) Would you rather have put in Amos? Didn't think so.

3) Why would he want to get a deal sorted? He has the ability to make more money and to have a better lifestyle.

If I had the choice to play for Man Utd or Real Madrid at this very moment, I know who I'd join. I'm not biased either, I'm a Celtic fan.

The difference is real is a contender for the CL. We are contending Just to qualify.

Do you think he enjoys getting exposed by johnny evans, mcnair and co? Why struggle at Stoke when you can be on a team that destroys everyone at the weekend and goes for glory in the CL?

That's not even taking into account Madrid》Manchester.

And which bit's don't you agree with Frank.

So you don't think it would be likely he's waiting to see if they finish top 4 for guarenteed CL football?

You don't think he would rather earn more for himself than signing a deal to reduce his share of a possible future deal?

You don't think it's the clubs fault for not nailing him to a deal earlier?

You do think the club would be loyal in the other direction if he was out of favour?

You don't think he would get more money in Spain?

You don't think the lifestyle would be better than Manchester?

You don't think Real or Barca would be a guarenteed 15 years in the CL?

What is it you don't agree with or do you just prefer to rant like a child? I guess you are getting worried as those 89 points you said would be required for fourth is soon going to be mathematically impossible?

well done for ignoring everything above and being a *WATCH THE INSULTS, FRANK.*

None of that is no use if he is going to be sitting on the bench behind a keeper Ancelotti obviously likes and is playing week by week and according to any that matter is still being chosen

Anyway there are rumours floating around United have offered ~£60m for Pogba (unlikely to happen in the Summer, definitely unlikely to happen now)

Sort yourself out Frank. You may not like it or even agree but danny's posted a reasoned argument and just because you can't come up with a answer to his questions there's no need to throw insults about.

And your argument is nonsense imo.

1. Anybody that has half an understanding of football could tell you that Real qualifying for the CL on a regular basis is about the safest bet in football. Certainly safer than qualifying with a side that missed out last season and in a battle to qualify this season.

2. Utd weren't forced into buying De Gea nor were they forced to pick him. They didn't buy and play him out of the goodness of their hearts. They signed him because he was the best keeper they could get and continued to play him because he was the best keeper they had. As danny said, do you think Utd would be willing to give him a massive contract in 10 years time when he's no good out of loyalty? Of course they wouldn't.

3. lol - maybe he won't sign a new deal until Utd have signed all Mendes' clients.

Point number 1 is a bit iffy. Before the last few seasons United were as much of a banker to get into the CL as Real were. There is no real reason with the spending power that United have to believe that they won't be able to get back to that situation.

Point number 2 is also not strictly true. He wasn't the best keeper United could have bought at the time, but he was definitely a hot prospect/rough diamond and seen as the long term option.

Do RM need to buy him now? They have a GK with a number of years left at the top, they aren't struggling in goal and DDG is very young still. They could buy him in 5 years and still get a decades service from him.

I have no idea if he will go this summer or not but there are reasons for and against and many factors that would make a big difference.
