From the United website:

"United chief executive David Gill has confirmed that negotiations with Partizan Belgrade duo Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic are still in progress.

The Reds have been granted a work permit for Tosic, but personal terms are yet to be agreed. Discussions with midfielder Ljajic are also continuing.

"We're still in negotiations with both," Gill confirmed to MUTV. "We've agreed club terms, now we're working on the player terms. They may or may not happen."

£6million wonder kid linked with Arsenal

Arsenal Football Club are being linked with a January move for Fabian Delph.

The 18-year-old Leeds United kid has been described as one of the most exciting talents outside of the Premier League, and Arsene Wenger has been monitoring his form this season.

Delph has won recognition at international level with the England Under-19 squad, and he is being tipped to gain a call-up to Stuart Pearce's Under-21 pool before the end of the campaign.

By this time the midfielder could well be on the payroll at the Emirates Stadium, with reports at the weekend suggesting Wenger will pay as much as £6million to land the youngster.

No surprise really. It's going to prove very difficult for us to keep hold of him. If someone comes in with anything like £6m I think he'll go.

Wenger has got to stop his obsession with kids, its a lil worrying imo.
anyway getting back on track, Owen going to Man city apparently(source:The Sun:rolleyes:)

AC Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti admits he wants to make a midfield signing in January.

"It is not easy to work in these conditions. It's clear that we have many problems due to the lack of midfielders and we are forced to play in a rough manner and with some players not in their usual positions," said Ancelotti.

"It is difficult to propose an effective system. If in the January market came a midfielder, certainly it would be useful. "

So much for not needing a midfielder BoomAM :p.

ooooh man utd fans afraid of another club nicking their players

what goes round comes round :D

Owen yes please, we desperately need a striker plus he would be joining the club he supported as a boy. I can see this move happening as long as Newcastle dont price us out of him. £2 million I say.

£2m for Michael Owen?

He's out of contract at the end of the season, tho I really can't see Newcastle letting him go before then unless they get a stupid offer next month.

.

No thanks we have already bought one crock of a forward we do not need another. He will stay at newcastle for one reason, money.

He currently gets over 100k per week, newcastle have offered 80k with conditions on the number of games he plays.

Everton wouldn't offer him much over 45k.

£2 million is a bargain for a player of his calibre, but his wages are crippling for a player that won't play enough.
