Hi guys, had a fantastic time at the jap car show at Santa Pod yesterday, saw some lovely cars, especially loving the norris designs evo, was such a shame to see it doing so badly in the pro shoot-out but then having such a quick run afterwards.

The drift cars were pretty good, though there was one goon in the white skyline who took it too far and reversed into the fence next to us!

Wish i had covered my ears with the first run of the jet car though! We were right next to the finish line on it's first run, saw all the smoke coming off and hearing it hit the afterburner before the run and didn't think it would be that loud, my god i was wrong, was quite possibly the loudest thing i have ever heard, and left the ears ringing for a few minutes. Fantastic to see it doing the quarter mile in just over 6 seconds and top speed of 255mph!

The one query i did have for any one that went was with the pro shootout. The dragon rx-7 with the matt paint and the air intake sticking out the bonnet had some weird towel type cable thing hanging out the boot, would anyone care to enlighten me as to what this was?

I'd suspect it was a safety measure just incase. Its got drag rear wheels so it must be packing some grunt to need non-standard, meaning its probably quick enough to warrant a back-up.

The chute is mounted in the boot, then the towel which holds on the shute itself which is packed up lower down the car.

Defo wasnt a chute because it attached to a metal pole that went right into the exhaust!! might have been some sort of sensor...

Might have some picks of it when i sort through them..

Meh, Fireforce just annoys me. They don't run it anywhere near as quick as it could go, so it runs much slower than the Top Fuel and Top Methanol cars can run.
