Japfest pics!

Some lovely cars there, but an equal amount of pish.

Lovely - DC2/DC5, Standardish EK9, R33/34/35,later Evo's, some S2K.
Pish - Supras and most others.

All the good cars in the photos are at least 10 years old it seems.

Have Japan given up on making good cars or something?

They had

up until the GT-86

Give it a few years and i reckon japfest will be full of them.

I like the ones that look standard form, not to keen on done up ones, though i can appreciate the work gone into them.

Wouldn't mind getting my hands on a FD2. I like the Champ white DC5 and EK9 to :)

Was an epic day.
I think me and Nath have convinced Gibbo he needs an RX8 in his life.

Highlight of the day was driving past the Shell petrol station and seeing the massive queue generated by 20+ skylines waiting for vpower :D

A fair amount of car pr0n amongst some dung beetles, what the hell was the RX8 owner smoking when he ordered those wheels, fitted them stood back and thought "that looks good"

That was on the mcguiars stand. I have called them out on various disgusting creations they have featured on their Facebook page before. Their response is 'it's all about looking good'

I unliked them :o

The layout of the show was good and I do agree that some clubs had more space than others.
Was surprised not to see a single NSX for example.

But in the grand scheme of things I thought it was well balanced.
It's great seeing much older cars looking just like they left the factory.

The question of what my next car will be is very much in the air after yesterday.

DC5 or S2000. Decisions, decisions

In the first car picture of the thread, I spot a JZX90!
Why you no put more of it on :(

Some good looking stuff there too, loving the little red Vitz :D

Easiest decision ever.

Do you want a convertible? If yes, S2000. If no, DC5.

Job done.

It was more the FWD vs RWD argument being taken into consideration.

I think the NSX where on the opposite side of the track.

Got 2 good sessions out on track too in my rx7 so came away with a big grin :D

My god it was a busy day though. There was mass crowds everywhere !

I think the brown Rx8 actually looked better in the flesh than on the photos. The brown was much darker and the colour change to the lighter wasn't as heavy. Some serious work had been done to it.

Some nice cars, some woeful! The silver supra with checkered sticker is the worst of the lot! Its like japfest never moved on from about 2002, time warp
