jewellery benches

evening all,

am hoping that somebody can help me.
my gf as a little sideline/hobby makes jewellery ( silver soldering etc ) and is in need of a jewellery bench to help her make things. at the moment she is just using the dining room table with a lot of protective stuff on, as you can imagine, not ideal.

now i am hoping someone knows a place to buy one cheaply ( missed one on ebay yesterday, went for £265 in the end ) brand new they are about £400 upwards.

so does anyone have any ideas?

Saw, hammer, nails, measuring tape and a trip to Homebase or builders merchants.

ideally it needs to be out of beech, which we have tried to get hold of but we cant seem to get the sizes we need.

Why beech?

Ikea do a decent pine table for £20 ish.

not sure on the beech question, but all the ones we have seen are made out of beech.

the workbench's arnt just a table, they have a curved bit where you sit and a few draws, one being under the curved bit to collect any gold/silver fillings.
