Decided to chance smuggling my DSLR into a gig last night... and got away with it - so much better than the compact I usually take!

All taken using live view with the camera held high to get above heads (hence the off focus in 3 + 4

). Also the first time I've shot using RAW, which I'll be doing all the time from now on.

Surprised you managed to bring your DSLR into a gig, a 450D + 50mm f1.8 I take it?

Yep. Took the battery grip and lens hood off to make it as small as possible, then put the lens in one pocket and stuffed the body in the other.

Wear a trench coat

I might have to use your idea Dingle, even with the Olympus 4/3 + Pancake, smuggling in a DSLR can be tricky. Managed to bring my camera into Walking With Dinosaur in Wembley when they saw my kit whilst checking my bag but allowed it because according to the manager, mine is a compact zoom - which is 'ok'. haha!
