Looks nice, and not too bad a price. Personally I cant stand that front headlight pattern, but most girls don't seem to care too much I don think. Is that the 1.25 Zetec engine?

Its a 1.4 Zetec mate, Picks up a hell of a lot quicker than the old 1.4 Escort. I would like to know the BHP and 0 - 60 times if anyone has them.

I quite like the design, and shes happy with it :)

I know, its only an average of 13k a year millage, so its not too bad. Services all done at ford until 80k, and then done at a decent garage, with all the stamps, and recipts.

Its been looked after, and the interior is spotless, you would think its a 50k miler looking at her. The paint work is simply stunning.

I was looking at spending around £1500 on a tidy 5 door hatch, so it was exactly what i wanted to get her. The seats are a lot better than my 115k Escort. She's happy with it.

Parkers states 88BHP and 0-60 in 10.8 seconds. Top speed 112MPH.

Not a powerhouse but by no means a slouch :)

Cheers for that, Its definatly quick enough for her style of driving! :)

new.....
yr 1999
100'000 miles
....new?

lol

anyway..... does look amazing...a fantastic example of keeping a car clean, and well serviced... very good find. if only everyone treated there cars like this (inc me).

whoever at ford decied to make stereo's with fake wood facia's needs shooting. Otherwise looks alright

edit, and wtf traction control

nice cars... only thing prone to the 1.4s are the bottom ends but if its been serviced regularly then this shouldnt be a problem. oil starvation is another problem but as long as the correct oil is used (5w-30) it should be fine.

overall, nice buy though :) i have the 1.25 mk4 and its been ever so reliable to me.

I had one of these a while ago and it drank oil. Make sure you keep an eye on oil level as the top end blew on mine. I was told after the top end went that the oil should be checked monthly. Best of all it had a full Ford Service 2months prior to death!

He made a point of saying it drank about half a litre of oil between services, the coolant was pint, and the engine clean, so im sure its had all the love in the world.

It picks up speed very rapidly for a 1.4 aswell, I looked at a few, and they were rough as anything, with very little SH so i just walked away.
