Just bought an iPod Touch 32gb but not for the music.

The iPod touch 4th gen is really worth it IMO - was never a fan of apple but getting the appstore & 32gb of storage for a fraction of the price of an iPhone 4 did it for me!

I use it for everything from music to metro calculations :)... my HTC being a wifi hotspot helps to make it more useful as well!

What a hassle, should have just bought an iphone 4 :p

yea but waaay too expensive per month. Tempting though. If it was under £10 I would.
I pay 7.50 I think it is for 5GB a month, can cancel at any time. Don't use it loads. It's epic for when virgin media fails as well. So when I'm on the bus like I am now, using my iPad like I am now it's great.

It was like 15 a month, rang up and ask to cancel and they made the deal

hmm. I did say anything under £10 a month is tempting but I dunno. Would be handy to read the news during my lunch breaks instead of buying a paper. Would save 60p a day. Which is roughly £10-12 a month on papers.

Can't believe I spend that much on papers a month when all I do is throw them away at the end of the day. :/

Might just get the 3 Mi-Fi device. Back at work today and I noticed the Daily Mirror is now 50p. Might as well get my news from my ipod instead of wasting money on papers everyday.

How bulky is the 3 mifi device? I already carry way too much in my work trousers as it is.

Yep, which makes even more sense of buying an ipad ;)

I don't think I can fit an iPad in my pocket. lol iPad's are cool but I have a laptop. I got the Touch so I could have a portable computer device.

Actually my Swe friend just bought an iPod Touch 64GB 4G for games. Though he hates apple products!

I'm not a big fan of apple. I'll never own an mac but the Touch is a fantastic little device. I also like how it has no branding on the front. Most other devices usually do.

Even though I have a sony walkman mp3 player. I bought the touch for the apps and games. I also wanted it as a back up if the sony dies. I didn't want an iPhone as I am happy with my Blackberry.

My question and the point of this thread is, anyone else out there buy a touch just for the app store?

So far, I am loving this little device. The first thing I downloaded was podcaster as I am an avid GiantBomb follower. Love how you can stream the podcast instead of downloading. Games are great too. Rage HD and Flick Football are amazing.

Only thing that I hate is not being able to use the app store without wi-fi. I'd pay for internet access if they offered it.

I use mine mostly for listening to audio books I've only bought a couple of songs from itunes and the occasional rented movie.

I think my biggest use of this will be internet radio. Downloaded "TuneIN Radio" and find it to be great app. Never bothered with internet radio on my pc but it being on a hand held device seems more convenient for me.

I have the latest model and it's fantastic. It creeps me out as a 20 year old how much more power this little thing is than my first PC (which was probably a monster compared to most here) :D

^ I missed that, 64Gb is overkill for games only... I don't think I've seen any that are more than 100mb.

Tell me about it, some of the music apps are amazing and are equivalent to a studio full of expensive gear in the 90's, in the palm of your hand...
