Looks like it has the stock exhaust, so it'll be quiet.
Now, if you want noise, get a v-twin on race pipes. They can set off car alarms as you drive past.
Nice bike btw, dont see many of those Gixxer 600's around.
looks almost new.

I'm buying it off a mate, and I know the guy has looked after it well, he spends his weekends cleaning and polishing it. When I saw it today its the dirtiest I've ever seen it. :p

Its only got 9700 on the clock too. Bought it for £2300.

Very nice, had one of those before my current bike. Loads of fun with an earned hooligan image, can be a pain in the winter if too much cold air gets into the engine, but nothing and old sock can't fix.

Not having all that much bike experience, is that good or bad. (I dont even have a license yet :( )
I don't have any either :p

But I'd love a bike like that when I get my licence. I hope thats a normal price for that bike in that condition! It sounds a good price to me.

Seems about right :)

Things to do:

Better pipes, better plate hanger, steering damper (cant see one), Power Commander and some crash mushrooms :)

As it is its VERY nice though :D

EDIT:

9700 miles isnt low and nor is the price especially low (if it is a K4) but if its immaculate then its a good deal :)

Not a K4, not even the same model type, judging by the colour scheme I think it's either a 2000 model or the last run from 2001.

And sub 10K miles on a bike of that age is fantastic, people seem to get the wrong idea of bike mileage due to those that buy bikes and only clock up 500 miles a year when the sun is shinning.

Mmmmm. I love Gixxers. My mate had one. Give it two years and I may get one then.

WOW, what a beauty! I'm amazed with the price tag too.

I've just booked my Direct Access course/test for mid July, and I'm currently searching MCN, pistonheads and autotrader for a 600. I cant decide between a Yamaha R6, Suzuki GSX-R600, or maybe even a Kawasaki ZX-6R.

Can someone tell me what the K number means for these Suzuki's though, seen them range from K2 - K4

I'm drifting toward the GSX-R600-Y, but I think the insurance costs will have the deciding say - 23 y/o with 0 ncb. Looks like the R6 is more insurance friendly :(

Shame....

But you've got yourself a beauty there - very jealious
