Well I've got the wheel. does anyone else wobble slightly where the steering wheel meets the white base unit? also the motors make a lot of noise when I turn the wheel and there is no power, is this also normal?

Cheers.

My force feedback has started to feel a bit better with time, but the steering column does move upwards and its quite flimsy, hopefully someone will post a DIY fix for it, perhaps a better quality bush or bearing installed in there.

Cheers to whoever is posting the link to fix the alignment problem.

Guys, just to let you know the Playseat company sell a metal bracket for under £10 that fits into the 360 wheel. You then would just have to drill some holes and get some small bolts/nuts attaching it on whatever your mounting the wheel too.

That way it wont budge but i understand some of you cant go drilling holes in desks or ironboards. ;)

I know.
They will answer this number 01772 632680. Got it with confirmation email.
I did speak to them today, called to check if they will delivery to my work (different from cardholder address).

I'll wait till yours turns up now ;). Is it me or does the bit the steering wheel clamps onto very high compared to the seat?

Played last night on Forza 2 with the wheel which I ve had since release. Definately makes for a more interesting racing game. I dont think I need the full game as mastering this track with 1 car is going to takes me months.

Well guys I think this wheel rocks :)

Forza 2 is great fun and PGR3 is something else with the wheel, I'm now almost half way on platinum :)

I like the wheel but after using my Logitech Force Feedback Pro with GT4 it just comes up a little short.

Feedback's not quite strong enough and of course it's missing the 900 degrees of rotation... however, apart from all that it's pretty good!

Just need to pull mine apart to center the wheel! :p :D

I have found that you have to be very light on the pedals in Frza2 compared to PGR3. That takes some adjusting to

PGR3 was really - approach corner and apply brakes fully with no real problems. Now we know forza2 is more of a sim so that approach does not work.

I started playing Forza2 with all the aids on and was getting annoyed when even with ABS on the wheels were locking, racing PGR3 style, then I turned all the aids off and started to brake softer with a light touch to the gas and it feeling sweet as! More responsive, more control and more fun! My wheel is on the ironing board with the pedals stuck to the carpet with sticky tape a cheap solution to having the wheel on your lap. I find the demo challenging already and that’s without full damage and ride set up options and custom garish paint jobs ! yet. Cant wait! for full release .KJ

Absolutely loving the wheel now i've spent a bit of time with it.Just got a 58.096 with the F430-no assists.God i love that car.

As you can't alter the settings in the demo i've cut up a little bit of foam and shoved it behind the brake pedal so i get a good feel when the wheels are about to lock.

Hows everyone else getting on with it?

Here's vid of the lap.I could get in the 57's as i clipped the grass a little at the beginning.

Ive actually found the wheel in the DIRT demo is actually more fun, from a perspective of trying out the wheel Vs pad.

Going lock-lock and being rather agressive with the wheel works in DIRT and at least it allows the FFB and Rumble as well as resistance all to be altered for their strength.

If anything trying the Forza 2 demo after playing DIRT with full strength really feels weak in FM2. Heres hoping its a sign of being this strong with changing settings for the wheel in FM2.

No doubt about it the wheel is a good if expensive purchase.

I see the wheel has dropped in price in america hope we get a price drop as well.
Wireless Wheel price drop
Just in time for the the Forza 2 release next week, the price of the Xbox 360 wireless wheel has been dropped to $129.99…so if you are out shopping this weekend make sure you get the new price.

a lot of them have had this problem, its down to quality control in the factory, you can adjust it yourself by unscrewing the thing and then just moving the wheel around on the next notch. (instructions on the net).
Worth taking it back for a replacement though, but if you get another like that may be worth adjusting it. Some of the other defects have been loose wheels which move up/down and from side to side, and others that click loudly when turning right or left.
Its a shame that the quality control is shocking on these. I had 2 before I got one i could live with.
In the end though they are well worth the money, adds a whole new dimension to gaming on the 360 and it works perfectly with forza 2

hey could you tell me where these instructions are to move it a notch?
