Metro is amazing, full of atmosphere and immersion. One of the best FPS games this year.
 
Nice, finished downloading in just under two hours and had a quick go for an hour :D Didn't realise how long I spent on it.

One thing I really hate are the grainy/patchy cutscenes. :(
 
jtus been playing, seems good fun, the start missions where i was scaling buildings and things were fun but the first stronghold one i did was boring and now i dont really know what to do, im stuck with poo weapons, no money and it takes ages to get to other locations, what exactly do i do? just blow stuff up and thats it?
 
As you create more 'Chaos' (ie. blow stuff up) you unlock more missions to do.

I'm not sure but I think you can go back and do all three gangs stronghold missions too.

yeah just had good fun blowing stuff up hehe, great for 4.99 perfect game for killing time, only thing thats annoying me is lack of ammo or guns and money for planes and stuff.

I thought my graphics card had some bad ram on it due to those as it was only the second game I had played since putting in a 470. Don't know why they did that.
 
shame it wasnt made playable on xp asked the team why yesterday and they said "a time issue and the PC version was a secondary priority" :(
 
Thanks for the heads up. Already played the demo a bit in the summer but didn't fancy the full asking price at the time. Can't resist this new Steam offer price though.

Purchased.
 
I've died so many times in this but I dont mind its funny watching him ragdoll and its always mostly my fault.

Does anyone else have really fast weather and night and day cycles? Like it'll get dark and cloudy rain for a a few seconds then stop and be sunny again.

Same, i've died quite a lot but the only time it has annoyed me was when I was escaping the military on a bike, with full health and a jeep tapped me from behind, somehow resulting in instadeath for me.
 
this game is unreal, the scenery just looks amazing, one of the most visually stunning games ive played, earlier i was attacking a military base, got a motorbike, noticed a jet was taking off on the runway, caught up to it and jumped on just as it was taking off, my bike goes into a wall hollywood style and blows up, i take over the plane, once im in the air, see a plane just below me flying, get out and stand on the plane, base jump towards the other plane, manage to grapple it and take that over...

its just ******* insane!
 
Is it just me is is this unplayable with a mouse and keyboard? I can't seem to move very fast at all with the mouse I have tried turning the mouse speed up to 100 but it's still terrible. I tried turning off V Sync but that didn't help either.

I do have a controller but using it is so alien to me. I will probably not bother with it if it means playing with a controller.
