Gawd I suspect breaking into the Square Mile might be hard if you are not connected but if you got in there it would be like taking candy off a six year old.

If you read the book, you'll find that it's actually funded by the massive bonuses he used to get while he worked in the City. Even in the early days, he was on a basic salary of £120,000 per year, plus an annual bonus of £200,000 - a total of £320,000 gross. This later rose to £500,000 in 2003, by which time he was still a mere 31 years old. Consequently, he became a very rich young man at a relatively early age.

By 2007, his actual bonus was £500,000!

Nice work if you can get it.
