So I finally got my O2 N80 for £123 which isn't bad on a lowly £19pm tariff but damn im impressed with this kit. Im upgrading from a nokia 6680 btw.

Infact I can't think what else this phone is missing yet.

The first thing you notice is the screen which is ridiculously high-res. Simply fantastic screen. Lost for words. I also have a X51V which has a VGA screen. The contrast on this screen is better (probs cos it can display more colours)

The menus are slick and fast, definately faster than my 6680,

Web browser is amazing as well. Great use of the screen space, although i won't be using that much cos O2 only have a 1mb data allowance.

Have no experienced any crashes or bugs as other people, don't know what firmware I have, if anyone know how to find out let me know

I don't have a wireless router so i cant use the Wifi on it but seems simple enough to use, The range isn't great though, worse than my PDA for sure,

Also I haven't been able to find any free software for it, i was looking for FE explorer perhaps which was excellent on my 6680.

The slider isn't great on the negative side, not as slick as the samsung D500 which i played around with. The navigation buttons are bit small too.

If you've been put off by this phone, don't be, its pretty good piece of kit.

Heres some comparision pics

Last one compares the screen quality compared to the N70, simply fab, check out the resolution on the bottom service line. It feels like the entire menus have AA on them (do they??)

Any questions and i'll do my best to answer

Would you say its a worth while upgrade from the 6680? As thats what ive got too and looked at the N80

Yup most certainly

Advantages include

The screen res is significantly better.
the camera is a 3MP compared to 1.3MP on the 6680
It has a radio and better mp3 player
Mini Sd cards instead of DV RS-MMC (you can get upto 2gb)
40mb internal mem compared to 10mb on the 6680
There is a funky blue led which flashes in suspend mode
there is dedicated button for the media.
symbian Software is a bit better, especially the web browser
Infra-red is here and so is WLAN
extra Software support is poor but i can't wait for high res tom tom
it comes with a 3,5mm converter
streaming over WLAN is also here

Thats all that I can think off

Sadly for me when i had it, it put me off nokia's for life:p. Dont get me wrong its a nice phone but i found it extremely quirky and was full of bugs, slider mechanism didnt fill me with confidence and plus it was quite thick...which i didnt like...sent mine back after 2 days...place i bought it from said it wasnt faulty which was a bit of a surprise as i thought it was definitely faulty. They offered to replace it anyways but i said thanks but no thanks.

Its fat i agree but I haven't had any quirks with it or any bugs which are ridiculous or offputting. Im already used to the symbian s60 interface anyways.

Perhaps you should have tried it for at least a week or waited for a new firmware?

Hmmm i could have but then i decided not to, am not a fan of the symbian s60 interface in the slightest. Due to the fact that i have a nokia 6680 and that was quite slow i found...so i ended up going back to SE where i will stay for the time being. Cant see any nokia phone at the moment to make me switch back to them. Plus out of all the SE phones ive owned, none have given me major concern ie as in bugs etc etc.

Funny how you found the 6680 slow but I had a t610 before that, now that was slow and joystick problems have put me of SE forever,

Each to their own i suppose

BTW There is no branding on the O2 N80, no physicaly logos on the phone, the only branding inside the phone is that web is configured and set up to use O2
