Yesterday I bought some Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) from OC.
I open the package today and in a white jiffy bag there are 2 sticks of RAM, each in a plastic case. Strange I thought as they usually come in plastic together as a set.
I take a look at them and it says CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 6GB (3 X 2GB). So this stuff is from a tripple channel set!
My question:
I have a 4GB set coming in tomorrow from the MM and I bought another 4GB to have 8GB total in dual channel mode. Now, because this is from a tripple channel set will this mean it won't work properly in dual channel?
This is a bit unproffesional for OCUK to do, and not good considering it's my first order!
Cheers
