Was quite happily surfing the 'net on my laptop in bed until just now when I spotted a ****ing HUGE spider (by UK standards at least) come crawling across my duvet giving me the fright of my life! I'm not normally an arachnophobe but MY GOD that thing was HUGE! At least as big as the palm of my (not insignificantly sized) hands with a fairly chunky body on it.
Needless to say I did the decent thing - put my hand in one of those plastic document wallets, grabbed it and chucked it out of the window (I'm a little superstitious that it's unlucky to kill a spider, and generally they do good stuff like get rid of flies etc).
Anyone had anything similar recently?
