Just had the worst phone call of my life

Sorry to hear that, I really am :(

Not trying to thread hijack or anything, but I had a similar call recently – after my Dad was rushed to hospital for the second time in October, my sister called me from there to tell me to get there ASAP as he was serious…. sadly, my Dad died on the 23rd of October.

All I can say is to stay strong, I’m sure your Mum will pull through though…

Thank you all for the kind positive words they mean a lot, this place has its ups and downs with me but generally a really nice community of people of all ages and backgrounds.

I can semi-understand the camera down the throat, i had one shuffed up my nose, felt like it was in my brain.

Best wishes mate.

She had to be restrained my sister said as she is terrified of doctors/hospitals, she is a tough old cookie though lol.

Best wishes Tank, I know what's it like but hopefully everything will turn out fine.
I read it before you edited it, I couldn't imagine the stress and worry you went through. I'm glad their on the mend :).

Best Wishes to your Mother, I had a big scare with mine last year but she pulled through, I hope your Mum recovers quickly.

these people know what they are doing and your loved ones are in safe hands
hope all is ok

I lost my mum to cancer Tank. Don't stop hoping and don't let them give up on her either. You will have to fight every step of the way.

/goes to the corner for some quiet reflection with memory box. :'(

My dad had throat cancer 7 years ago. A year after my mum had died. Not a good time but with the best in medical help and treatment we have in this country he beat it and has been clear for the last five years.

All the best and best wishes. It can be beat.

My Mum got diagnosed with Skin Cancer about 3 years ago (too much gardening in the summer it seems) as a mole turned cancerous. it was removed as it was caught early and everything is fine now, all gone.

If as you say it has been caught in time then hopefully she will be fine. Chin up and be strong for her!
