Just installed q9550 on win 7, what temp and stress program do I need?

Real Temp or Core Temp. I also use HW monitor for motherboard temps.

Prime 95 or Intel Burn Test for stress testing.

This.

And you can find links for the above and other stress apps - here.

OCCT and ORTHOS are also good stress apps - but prime 95 and IBT are a good combo for stability and heat testing.

CoreTemp and CPU-Z for monitoring, etc.

OCCT and IBT for testing... start off with 5 passes of IBT to get a feel for the overclock, then 1 hour runs of OCCT til you think you have a final clock then 2+ hours of OCCT and 20 passes of IBT.

Tweaked it abit. I had OCCT and tested for 1 hour, firstly the RAM, then board, then added the CPU O/c. I need better ram to stretch the CPU's legs. I have some ballistix (4x1Gb) which I could torture.:D

With the corsair CM2X2048-6400C5 (1.8v ver3.1). I got 945DDR2 @+0.2v vRAM (about 2.07 volts), not even 1066DDR2 pathetic!
