Just need a new Video Card

Hi,

I am just getting the bits together to build my Sandybridge rig now I have the B3 revision motherboard. The only thing I have left to get is the Video Card. So far the rest of the components are:

• Intel Core i7 2600k
• Noctua NH-D14
• Asus P8P67 Deluxe Rev3
• 8 GB PC-12800 Corsair XMS3
• Intel 510 Elmcrest 250 Gb
• Western Digital Caviar Black 640 Gb Sata III
• AsusXonar DX Antec P183
• Corsair HX750W
• Windows 7 Pro x64

Currently I have Gigabyte GTX 560 Super OC on pre-order elsewhere. However I am thinking of getting an GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II instead. I will only be having one Video Card.

I would be looking at the £200 - 300 range and would like one that is as quite as possible.

What card would you guys recommend?

If you choose to go down the AMD 6900 series route then bear in mind they are well known to have quite noisy coolers compared to the Nvidia 500 series so you should choose one with a custom cooler like the MSI twin frozr

I'd recommend an ati 6950 which you can flash to 6970 speeds. The difference between a 6950 and a 570 is very small. Some games ati card wins, other games nvidia card wins and some they're neck and neck. However in my opinion you just can't ignore the price saving between a 570 and a flashed 6950.
