Evening

I think I may have made a mistake - after receiving my student loan, I did what any right-minded guy would and went straight over to a well-known auction site and started bidding on effects pedals.

I wanted a single delay, as I play a lot of U2/BlocParty type stuff - however, after losing the auction, in frustration I just did a buy-it-now on a new multieffects Zoom G2.1U for £90 all in.

Reviews seem OK, has anyone had any experience with these? Thanks

I've not played with the G2.1U, but I do own the A2.1U for acoustic guitars. The delay in that is nice and controlable, so I imagine it will be the same with the G2.1U. The build quality of the unit is good as well, nice and solid with no flimsy plastic bits anywhere, unlike a good number of fx pedals these days.

Of course for delay I still prefer my Boss DD-6; though I'm tempted to try the Akai Headrush after seeing what KT Tunstall manages with her's for her solo performances!

Actually the DD6 was the pedal I was bidding on, got outbid by 50 pence :(

Hopefully the zoom will still be good, and yea it sounds like the build quality is nice. Have no experience with the headrush

The thing with multi FX is that they do everything OK and nothing well on the whole, so it should tide you over till you realise what sounds you're really keen on and expand them with individual pedals.
