ive just preordered it i cant wait to watch it, i have no idea if its any good but i dont care i was a fan of the silent hill 2 and 3 and hopefully itll have the same atmosphere.

As for the film...i thought it was rather good. Very entertaining. Not really played any of the games sadly (want to) but there are some pretty good moments in it. Lead lass is fiiiiiiiiine too.

I didn't get the chance to watch it at the cinema so I'll probably pick up the DVD next week. From what I've heard and seeing the adverts it looks pretty good though.

I thought it was pretty boring. I was really losing interest later on in the film and was just waiting for it to end.

I was very disappointed.. the games have been well known for scaring the **** outta u. The film lacked many jumpy parts that I really was expecting

The film isnt "bad" but is not a patch on the games. It did have a few "shocking" scenes in it, but they were more there for shock value than horror.

I didn't see it at the cinema either, dunno if I'll buy it though, i've found myself ordering more and more DVDs and not watching them more than one. I haven't even watched my Shindler's List DVD since I bought it (But everyone needs to have it).

I'll give it a rent, hopefully it won't be as bad the resident evil films.

I thought it was good up until the bit after the flashback when they are in the church, then the acting became woeful and I started laughing at how bad it was. I swear you could almost see the autocue during that scene.

Well if you are a fan like me of the games then you won't be disappointed. It had the same style and feel of the games and as a result wasn't a conventional horror film, I've also preordered it too.

Maybe some people just prefer the teen horror flicks...

A thread like this will always attract somebody who wan't to prove they saw the film (or at least heard about part of it...).

I did see it in the cinema and quite enjoyed it actually.
I knew it was due for DVD release soon.
As soon as I see it for £10 (this is the amount I conisder fair for all DVD's except boxed sets, very special editions etc) I'll buy.

just watched it thought it was brilliant i sort of dont get why the main character couldnt see sean bean was she dead when she entered silent hill from the fumes?
