If this constitues a medical thread I appologise now and please just remove it, but as im not actualy asking for advice im unsure.. anyway

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the following, Just behind and slightly left/right of my cainines There are two small holes, that seem lined up with my nose, this seems to be something all humans have but for the life of me I can find no diagrams to explain what they are for.... so does anyone know or is it just one of lifes mysteries?

Put your tongue on your cainine, for this your right one, slip it behind and run your tongue towards the center of your mouth
 
Holes? Nope!? This is the first time I've heard of holes in the top of the mouth, if that's where you're referring to?

I tried taking pics, but its to dark in my mouth :p They are literaly smack bag behind the teeth though, on the part of the mouth just before it starts to go up to the roof
 
I have holes at the top of my mouth and the teeth at the front (Not sure if they are the Canines or not) But I can poke things through them..

Great post for #2,000 - I really spend too much time here...
 
If I have got this right, I think the OP means 2 'craters' rather than holes, directly behind the 2 front teeth, on the gums, before the palette.

No idea what they are there for.

I know cats have small holes behind their canines through which they can smell (when they are smelling sometihng really interesting, you'll sometimes see them turn away with their mouths still open to get more fragrance in).

Maybe you're part cat.
 
I have two holes in my palette, more towards the back rather than the front. Sometimes when I yawn two jets of water spray out like a snake. :)

Cannot do it on demend, I keep trying though. :p :D

Same here. I think its somthing to do with hydration. There seems to be a liitle ammount of liquid oozing out all the time. I suppose its to keep your mouth moist.

At the moment my mouth is full of holes/craters. I was up till 4am this morning playing the 10 day trail of WOW. Alwasy chewing the inside of my mouth.:eek:
 
I definately have no holes, infact..Just thinking about having holes in the roof of my mouth makes me actually feel quite weird...

I do have the two craters however...
 
Nope im not on about any on the roof of the mouth, my mouth roof is perfecy bar a tiny little nib in the center which I have always had, but the holes are directly behind my teeth, but not the front two, more slightly to the left and right of my cainines, they do not ooze any liquid, and im prety sure they do go up to the nose, its just something I have wondered since I was little....
